Wolfy, a one year old White Shepherd, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our One Week Board and Train program. Wolfy comes us with lack of following commands, being easily distracted, leash pulling, being protective of his family, jumping to greet, and some separation anxiety. Over the week Wolfy will be working on his on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!

Wolfy is settling in well at my home. He is a little unsure of his new doggie friends, but he is slowly warming up to them.

Today Wolfy and I worked on his obedience at home. I introduced and conditioned him to the ecollar. We practiced commands: Sit, Down, and Place. Place is a command where Wolfy must sit or lay on a defined object, this command is great for building confidence as well as teaching Wolfy to be calm and relaxed. He did a great job on his first day of training!

Today Wolfy and I went to the park to work on his obedience commands. We practiced Sit, Down, and Place. We worked on 3 new commands today: Come to Sit, Come to Heel, and Heel. Wolfy is a fast learner, but can be stubborn when he doesn’t want to listen. Heel is still a work in progress but he is walking a lot better now, not trying to take me for a walk.

Today Wolfy and I worked on his obedience around the neighborhood. We practiced all his commands and worked on his duration, holding commands longer. He did a great job, especially when other dogs passed by. Wolfy wasn’t reactive and followed his commands.

Today Wolfy joined me on a shopping spree at The Block at Orange. Wolfy got to practice his obedience around distractions. He was a bit nervous and antsy when we got there. We walked around and practiced his commands for awhile and he began to calm down and focus on his commands. I noticed he had soft stool throughout the day.

Wolfy‘s tummy still seems to be upset. He had runny stool today. His behavior is normal: running around, playing, and has an appetite. I took Wolfy to the park to work on all his obedience commands. He is doing a great job with his training!

Today Wolfy and I went to the park to work on his obedience around distractions. It was quite busy, there were a bunch of kids baseball games and family parties at the park so Wolfy had a lot of distractions to work around. He did very well. He was focused and obedient. Wolfy stool still isn’t back to normal, but looked a little better than yesterday. I added some white rice to his meal. Hopefully that will help soak up whatever is bothering his tummy. Wolfy can’t wait to go home and show you everything he has learned!
