Meet Trek! Trek is a 10 month old Australian Shepherd from Edwards,CA! She is joining us for our Two Week Board and Train Program. Trek pulls heavily on leash, loves to jump up when greeting new people and needs help with basic obedience. Overall, Trek is a sweet loving girl who is ready to learn! Look out for her 14 day transformation.
Pupdate 4/30/2022
Trek and I spent the day getting to know each other before our first lesson. She is doing really well and is getting the hang of her first command, ‘heel’. She did struggle a bit and pulled a lot in the beginning but she was able to walk next to me by the end of our session. She also got used to the e-collar today. It did take her a bit to get used to the feeling but did really well with it on. She ate half of her dinner and went potty like normal. She is adjusting really well to her kennel!

Trek and I worked on her ‘heel’ today at a local park. She was a little overwhelmed in the beginning since she wanted to rush and sniff everything. It did take her some time to fully get her focused. After a couple of minutes she was slowly able to get what I wanted her to do. We introduced ‘come to sit’ today and she did great picking it up quickly. She loves to sit on my feet when I ask her to ‘come’ so I’m trying to get her to make the extra effort to come all the way around my back and to my left side. She is such a smart girl and was able to get it by the end of our session. She still needs a bit of leash guidance but she is doing a great job. She ate half of her breakfast and all of her dinner.

Trek and I worked on her ‘heel’ today at Legg Lake Park around distractions. She did such a great job and is responding to the e-collar really well! It does take her a bit to get into the groove of walking next to me but after a few minutes she does fine. She is getting a lot better with her ‘come to sit’ and was able to do a couple of reps without any leash guidance. We ended our day by introducing ‘place’! She loved jumping up in the benches and was a good girl and sat for over a minute. Overall, Trek is doing amazing!

Trek did a really good job working around other pups and their trainers today! She was able to work On her loose leash ‘heel’ and she did such a good job. We worked on her ‘place’ and worked on having her hold it for over a minute. She is doing really well overall! She ate half of her breakfast and dinner today!

Trek went to Home Depot today to work on all of her commands! She did such a great job but did struggle with her ‘sit’ a bit! She would ‘sit’ at times but would be distracted some other times. She did really great with holding her ‘down’ around passing distractions such as carts and people! Trek is such a good girl and is being so good. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner!

Trek and I worked on all of her commands today around my home and at a local park. She did such a great job on our walk and was able to ‘heel’ with a very loose leash. She does get a bit lazy at times so when I ask her to ‘sit’ she’ll ‘down’. We’re working on her holding her commands for a longer period of time. She did really great with all of the distractions at the park today and didn’t seem to mind all of the yelling children. She also worked on her ‘door’ manners today. She did such a good girl but it did take her a while to get used to waiting by the door. She enjoyed some time in my home before bed. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner!

Trek went to Citadel Outlets to work on all of her commands today! She is getting a lot better at her ‘come to sit’ and her ‘heel’! She did such a great job today but didn’t like the heat very much. We worked in increments today to help with her not getting over heated. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and is being such a good girl!

Trek and I worked on all of her commands today at a local park! She is getting a lot better at working with a loose leash and doesn’t need much leash guidance. It was a bit hot today so we worked slow and took a lot of breaks. She did have a lot of free time where she was able to run and play! Trek did have a bit of runny stool today so she did have an accident in the car kennel. She got a bath and is eating a bit of pumpkin to help soothe he tummy. Overall, Trek is being a good girl!

Trek and I worked on all of her commands today with a loose leash. She did such a great job and was able to do all of her commands with the leash dragging. There were a couple of times when she didn’t want to do her ‘come to sit’ and would just lay down but after a couple of corrections she got the hang of it. She is being such a good girl and loved jumping on top of the playground. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner. Her stool is still a little runny today. She is drinking plenty of water.

Trek worked on all of her commands off leash at La Mirada Park! There were other trainers and their pups and she did a great job working around them. She was a little overly excited in the beginning but did all of her commands really well. There were a couple of ducks at the park today she was interested in but she didn’t make the effort to walk up to them. Overall, Trek did a great job and was able to run around the park with a tennis ball!

Trek and I worked on all of her commands today at Petsmart! She did such a great job ignoring all of the passing dogs and people. She did get a bit distracted when we walked into the treat isle but was able to focus again. She is getting so much better with her ‘extended down’ but gets a little excited when she sees a dog in the distance. Overall, Trek is being a good girl! She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and is drinking plenty of water.

Trek and I went to Montebello Mall where we worked on all of her commands off leash. She was a little overally excited today when working around other trainers and their pups but did a great job with all of the noise. She is doing her commands really well and even stayed under the table while I grabbed lunch. Overall, Trek is a good girl.

Trek went to The Block today to work on all of her commands off leash. She did really well but was a bit nervous today. There were a couple of childrens toys that made a lot of noise she was unsure of. She did great with the crowds and even stayed in a ‘down’ while we enjoyed some food. She is such a good girl but did get tired quickly because of the heat. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner!
Pupdate 5/13/3022
Trek and I worked off leash today at The Block! She did a lot better around distractions and wasn’t spooked as much by any loud noises. She worked on her ‘greeting manners’ and stayed in a sit the whole time. Trek ended her day with some free time at the park where she was able to run and play off leash. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and drank plenty of water!
