Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 9/30/2025

Please join us in welcoming back Foxy to our boarding program. This delightful little girl is always a bundle of joy and we are so excited to have the opportunity to work with her again. While Foxy is with us, we will continue to work on all of her obedience commands to keep her in tip top shape! Stay tuned to see Foxy’s day-to-day and all the fun she has!

Foxy had a splendid time today! We want to make sure to continue her training and improving steadily where we can. That being said, we want to build as much fun into the process as possible. Here, you see Foxy working for the sake of the ball. This is a great example of drive-channeling for the better!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 10/2/2025

We had the pleasure of taking Foxy out this morning. This little girl was the belle of the ball! We had so many volunteers to give Foxy her pup-cup that we had to limit the number to three. The slow mornings like this one are perfect times for bonding. We have to continue training Foxy and improving on the skills she already has; but, it’s also important to enjoy the time spent.

Our morning coffee routine seems to be right up Foxy’s alley! Although Foxy is with us for boarding, we are going to make sure that she goes back to her family in great shape. Today, we started working on sending softy to “place” from a further distance than she is used to. She understands this command and holds it perfectly; however, increasing the distance from which we send her to the position will build an even stronger base of obedience from which Foxy can grow.

After training, we spent some time relaxing and people-watching while we enjoyed our coffee(Foxy had another pup-cup.

It’s great to see Foxy enjoying life and doing so in a way that gives her the most freedom possible.

Every day we fall further and further in love with this little gem. Foxy brings positivity into every environment she encounters. She is constantly praised for her beauty and poise. Her level of training impresses everyone around her.

Day-to-day, we continue to practice the same commands that she learned during her board and train program. While doing this, we are improving everywhere that we can. Training is never done, it is a continuous process.

Here, you can see Foxy working and holding positions around lots of people and distractions. Particularly Foxy’s longer send to place is improving drastically.

Foxy‘s appetite is fantastic, she’s eating regularly and also staying hydrated. We have her with us for a while so we are going to take advantage and give her all the love we can while she stays with us.

Foxy continues to steal hearts wherever she goes! This gorgeous Husky mix is a joy to work with, and her progress is nothing short of impressive. Today, we focused on sending her to place from a distance and reinforcing all her other commands.

Her ability to hold positions amidst distractions is improving daily, and her send-to-place command is becoming a real showstopper. We practiced in a lively outdoor setting, and Foxy handled it with grace and confidence, earning compliments from everyone around.

Her appetite is as fantastic as ever, and she’s staying well-hydrated. Foxy’s energy and love for training make every session a highlight. We’re cherishing every moment with this incredible pup and will keep pushing her skills to new heights!

Foxy stole the show at the park today as our go-to example dog for training! Her advanced skills and cool-headed focus were perfect for guiding the younger pups through their commands in a busy environment. Foxy’s confident demeanor and spot-on responses to cues had everyone in awe, making her the ultimate role model. She navigated distractions like a pro, keeping the training sessions fun and productive. Foxy’s appetite is great, she’s staying well-hydrated, and her health is stellar. This fluffy superstar continues to lead the pack with flair!

Foxy had an absolute blast working in downtown Riverside today! She strutted through the bustling streets with her tail wagging like a metronome, soaking up all the sights and sounds. Unlike her usual adventures, she discovered a new favorite spot—a cozy little courtyard with a bubbling fountain that she couldn’t resist splashing in (don’t worry, she only got slightly soggy). She charmed everyone with her confident prance and even snagged a few extra pets from some friendly shopkeepers. Foxy’s thriving out there, bringing her signature sparkle to the city and loving every moment of it!

Oh, what a tail-waggin’ day it’s been for Foxy! This spunky pup has been all about play, play, play—and let me tell you, she’s got the zoomies to prove it! Playtime isn’t just fun for Foxy; it’s like her superpower. It keeps her mind sharp, her body active, and her heart full of joy. Whether she’s chasing her favorite squeaky toy (a plush squirrel she’s obsessed with) or bounding around the yard like a furry tornado, play helps Foxy burn energy, reduce stress, and strengthen her bond with her humans. Experts say play is crucial for dogs—it boosts confidence, hones problem-solving skills, and keeps those pesky boredom blues at bay.

Foxy’s squirrel toy is her absolute BFF. She’ll carry it proudly in her mouth, toss it in the air, and pounce like it’s the greatest treasure in the world. Today, she spent a solid 20 minutes wrestling it in the grass, giving it a good shake with that mischievous glint in her eye. It’s her go-to for a game of fetch or a solo chew session when she’s feeling extra sassy. We’re pretty sure she dreams of that squirrel toy at night! Stay tuned for more Foxy adventures—she’s already planning her next playtime takeover!

Foxy was full of joy today during our training sessions. She eagerly worked on all her commands, with the distance between her and the handler increased. Foxy’s enthusiasm is clear, and she’s enjoying every moment with us, responding well to praise and attention. She showed strong focus and performed all commands successfully at the increased distance. Her appetite and hydration are excellent, keeping her in great shape. We’re thrilled to see her so happy and engaged!

We had a bit of free time today in between our training sessions so we decided to play dress up! We went though our various available costumes but Foxy was very clear she would only wear the cowboy outfit. Once she was wearing it, she acted just like you’d expect a horse in a rodeo would, spinning left and right with her tail wagging in all directions. Foxy is doing very well physically! Her appetite is strong and she’s drinking plenty of water. Her energy has not slowed down! Visit us again to see what fun Foxy has tomorrow!

The most rewarding part of training dogs comes on days like today. We took Foxy to Claremont Village where she showed off her skills and impressed everyone! So many people complimented her looks, demeanor, and obedience.

We could not be more proud of this little girl. Her attitude and personality light up the room!

We continue to push her training, making sure to have some fun along the way.

Here’s a sneak peak into one of Foxy’s SEVERAL cuddle sessions throughout the day. While we keep her training and obedience sharp, we also do everything in our power to make sure this special girl feels right at home. Comfort is key!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 10/14/2025

Autumn weather has finally made it to Southern California! Today we experienced rain, wind, and temperatures thirty degrees cooler than those we saw only a few weeks ago. On days like today, we wait for the short intervals in between the downpour to get outside as often as possible; while we spend the rest of the day tucked up in the warm house soaking up the relaxing atmosphere.

You can see in the video, Foxy has discovered her love for frozen hamburger patties. She wasn’t sure what to do at first, but after a few minutes it all came naturally. We can safely say Foxy is having a great time.

The past few days have been wet and rainy, but that hasn’t slowed Foxy down a bit! Everywhere we go she’s full of love.

The simple moments, just enjoying one another’s company, are priceless.

Now that we are heading into Foxy’s final week of boarding, we treasure as many of these moments as we can!

Welcome back to Foxy’s Blog!

Often times, we make trips to and from smaller communities and take in the downtown scenery. In Upland, we did just that. 

The weather was perfect and Foxy took the time to sit and soak it all in. 

Of course we couldn’t leave without taking some photos and video of Miss Foxy posing on the Gazebo! She’s quite the model!

Looking back on the first day we met Foxy, we cannot help but to be proud. It seems like yesterday, she was wild and wanted nothing more than to be free.

Nowadays, Foxy is a model citizen who is ready to take on the world with her owner.

Lots of patience and elbow-grease went into this progression. 

She’s definitely one of our best and favorite girls!

Foxy loves playing dress up. We have been incorporating some fun into our training routine to make sure Foxy enjoys as much of her time as possible.

The little girl goes home in a few days and things will not be the same without her!

Her mind is as sharp as ever, along with a healthy appetite and good hydration. Her energy never slips!

It saddens us to say that tonight is our last night with Foxy for a while. We love this little girl like she’s our own. It’s always a good time, showing off her skills public.

Tomorrow, we will hand over Foxy, go over all of her training and routines, and leave her in caring hands.

We can’t wait to see Foxy again!
