Scott Simpkins
Dog Trainer

AKC Evaluator

K9 First Aid & CPR Certified

Scott grew up in southern California. As a child, his father was a military police canine handler, so Scott grew up around highly trained dogs that had the potential for aggression. Scott learned quickly how to interact and live with these dogs who display these types of behaviors. Eventually when he was old enough, Scott was taught by his dad the proper ways to handle these canines and excelled in training them alongside him. Scott quickly went from curiosity with the working breeds to a passion.

Scott would later work and train military and police canines for five years. During this time he learned canine CPR, first aid, and even first aid emergency handling of snakebites/larger lacerations to dogs. Scott worked alongside tactical veterinarians who showed him in depth procedures to stabilize animals who have had traumatic wounds, broken limbs, or a combination of both.Scott has also led several training seminars on the teaching and use of “E-Collars” to several Southern California working dog agencies. Two of Scott's dogs are still actively serving and excelling in Southern California in large police agencies. Their handlers often send him their success stories.

His love for dogs of course extends into his personal life as Scott owns a 100+ lb German Shepard who was rescued from the shelter at 11 months old. The Shepherd was scheduled to be put down due to biting three different people, two of which required hospitalization from the bites. Scott couldn’t let this happen and has a soft spot for redemption cases for dogs. The German Shepherd is now 12 years old, enjoys off leash adventures with him and the family. He has no biting events since becoming under Scott's ownership and joyfully plays with his small child daily. This is a testimony of what reconditioning a dog can do in the right and graceful hands.
