Pepper, a Miniature Schnauzer from Canyon Lake, CA. went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal One Week Board & Train dog training orogram. Pepper was trained by dog trainer Haley Giwoff in Costa Mesa, CA.
This is Pepper! She is a 4 Year old Miniature Schnauzer from Canyon Lake, CA. She is a highly independent mostly well-behaved sweetheart. She is with us for an On Leash One Week Board and Train program because she's not good on the leash, has a lot of fears, occasionally nips at strangers, and sometimes gets snappy with other dogs. I can't wait to see this girls progress over the next 7-days!!

Miss Pepper is doing pretty good!! She is still a bit fearful of me and isn't all the way out of her shell, but she had fun checking out the backyard and even got comfortable enough to give my hand a small kiss as I let her out of her kennel for her post dinner potty break. It was very sweet, I felt quite honored! She happily scarfed up her whole dinner and has been an angel about the kennel. Over all she is doing really awesome!

Miss Pepper is doing awesome! Her appetite is still great, eating a whole can plus a little dry food mixed in! She is doing great in her kennel and loves exploring the back yard. She got through her intro to the E-collar and intro to Recall/Heel commands. I went pretty soft on her today because it was her first day. She had 2 lessons at the park in La Mirada this morning/afternoon and a lesson in the front yard in the evening. I can't wait to see how much progress she will make tomorrow!

Little Pepper is adjusting very well! Today we worked on her Recall, the start to her Heel, and a bit of Sitting. She has started to request being picked up by me here and there which is quite exciting! I love that she is getting more comfortable with me. Her Recall originally was a bit difficult since she didn't really want to get up close and personal with me but now she comes up and even gives kisses. She is still eating very well and being an angel in the Kennel. She is just a step or two away from showing off her Heel. I can't wait to show her off!

Pepper made a ton of progress today! She is absolutely tanked after all her lessons. We introduced her Sit, Down, and Place commands along with working on her Recall and Heel. Her anxiety and fear is getting better every lesson and she even did the weave poles! Another huge highlight today was that she has started to see her kennel as her "off duty" "safe zone" and volunteered going into it several times when tired. She is coming along so fast and I am so proud of her!

Pepper's Heel is coming along awesome! Today she helped train another pup who gets a bit to excited about other pups! She did awesome! She is such a happy girl when she is feeling confident. I am so proud of her!

Pepper's last day with me. We are going to miss this sweet girl! She grew so much this last week and I couldn't be prouder of her!!
