Luca | Goldendoodle | Long Beach, CA | In-Training

Writer: cristianoffleashcristianoffleash

Meet Luca! Luca is a 4 month old Goldendoodle who has joined us for our 3 Week Puppy Board & Train Program. Luca comes to us with basic puppy behaviors such as leash pulling, nipping, potty training, and not being able to listen to any command when asked. Luca is very young and has quite a long journey ahead of him! Luca is a sweet pup who needs structure, so over the next twenty one days he will be working on his behavior and be set up for success, with the hopes of becoming the best pup that he can be. Check in to see his progress!

Today I got to meet Luca and he was very energetic upon greeting him. We stayed at a park only for a few moments to get out of the heat and return home to get to know each other more. Throughout the car ride Luca was actually very quiet while inside the crate and didn't seem bothered.

Once we were home I took time for Luca to burn some energy running in the backyard and giving him a chance to go potty. It took him a while since he seemed to wonder and try to pick out a location to go but he successfully went in the backyard. We took time to already start our training by micro managing Luca's place obedience command. Place is an obedience command in which a dog has to position themselves on a platform and objectively stay on it until given a release command. As we practiced as long as Luca was able to hop on and off I would praise him to show him he can get more affection if he goes on the mat.

Once we went into my room Luca got to meet my dog through his crate momentarily which went well. Luca kept going to his crate investigating and my dog Hunter seemed interested with all the best intentions showing no intimidation from his presence. Once I let them smell each other for about a minute they started to play as if they knew each other. I gave them some time to enjoy themselves and I put Hunter away to continue Lucas training. Overall his first few moments at my home have been joyful with his confidence showing he seems to be off to a good start. Continue to check up on his daily progress with me as his personal dog trainer!

Today Luca went potty outside early in the morning when we went for a walk. I gave Luca time to socialize with Hunter before feeding him. Compared to last night Luca ate all of his food instead of only eating half.

We focused on our door manners today and walking together as our main focus. When asking Luca to walk with me I'll ask Luca to heel each time I walk or make turns. We spent several minutes walking together inside the house to keep Luca engaged and close to me. After practicing how to heel we started another new challenge, sitting beside a door and waiting until given an obedience command. With Luca's door manners his intention is to immediately run out and this can enable a dog to run away far from home. Before starting our door manners practice I placed a mat for dogs and a prong collar to help minimize the pulling each time Luca has his impulsive habit to go. I keep the leash very loose the moment Luca pulls so I can use the prong collar properly the moment Luca bursts past me and after two redirections, Luca was able to hold his place & sit commands. When giving Luca a release command I say "break" to enable his ability to comes to me for his praise. For every obedience command a break with affection followed up will always motivate a dog and have an impact for them to remember what they just did was a positive thing. I'm able to walk out in the front momentarily for a few seconds and can return inside to close the door and at that moment Luca is given his break for behaving well.

One noticeable thing about Luca is that every time he pees or poops he picks up his back leg as if it's broken right before using the restroom. I've tested his leg out and applied pressure firmly to see if there is any agitation in his legs but he seems fine and it could just be an unusual puppy behavior Luca is doing. His crate training has been very good and hasn't barked when leaving his sight or leaving the house to test his separation from me.

This morning Luca had his first accident so far peeing inside his crate before waking up. I woke up in the middle of the night to check his crate and he was asleep but upon waking up he must of spent some time awake before peeing. I gave him a rinse and cleaned off his paws only since these were the only body parts of him that had pee on it.

Later on in the day after some exercise and play time with Hunter we headed over to Cerritos Mall in Cerritos, CA to meet up with some friends and to practice our obedience inside to beat the heat. When we first arrived Luca seemed ok but once we headed in he seemed unaware of being inside the mall and lacking some confidence. The longer we stayed he seemed to adjust and desensitize after just walking around the mall. Once we met up with our friends we did some training around each other to work on impulse control with our dogs. Luca was very happy to see the other dogs so I had to redirect him many times for breaking position to go say hi to another dog.

In the video above we are in one of the open areas of the mall and I had recorded our extended down practice. Luca has been able to perform his down at home but now we have to challenge him while doing this outside. Its clear to see each time Luca get up that he's a little nervous but the consistency of redirecting back into his down helps prolong his ability to do so, even when a stranger comes up to us. We talked momentarily and Luca was able to hold it until he left. When trying to walk around him in a circle he breaks his position as well so after a few more redirections once I'm able to fully make my way around him, I ask for his break. This is a perfect moment to end training and one detail is to break Luca the moment he perfects his practices.

His visit to the mall went well but I'm going to take more time exposing him to public setting since it seems his confidence is somewhat off while outside. Going around the neighborhood and near parks has been mellow for him so far but need to bring his confidence up more with new social settings.

Today we headed over to Citadel Outlets in Commerce, CA to practice our obedience training. When we first arrived Luca wanted to stay distant so we practiced our left side heel to close the distance. Within a few minutes he adjusted and we made our way around the shopping center. When Luca saw the other dog she brought today Luca wasn't as impulsive or energetic to go up to Levi the Great Pyrenees and kept distance when asked to sit or down next to him.

Our obedience commands we practiced today was extended sit & down, recall, and heel conditioning. With an open area in the shopping center we practiced around each other with Luca being able to do his obedience commands with a few moments of redirection. Luca did well overall but being around any noises that are loud like metal hitting itself or passing a tuck with a trailer startled Luca to run away from me. He wouldn't go far besides in front of me to be distant from the noise he just heard. His temperament seemed more confident in todays social setting. Before leaving we had two elderly women who saw Luca and were surprised to see how well behaved he was with me, making comments about other doodles she knows that are out of control. She asked with permission to say hi to Luca and I allowed it but he did seem nervous at first so I walked towards her giving him a loose leash and no tention from his leash to give him the ability to freely walk up. After a few seconds he let her pet him with ease and came back to me with excitement so I continued to praise him as well to make this moment memorable before leaving.

We followed up with more obedience training at home which consisted of recall and house manners. I had my brother help act a distraction for the door manners so Luca can be familiar when someone comes inside the house or when the door is being knocked on.

Pupdate 9/12/2024

Today we focused on some house training to improve on certain things such as door manners, food manners, and walking through doors in a calm manner when asked to heel through. Early in the morning I took Luca out to go potty and he went on grass to pee but for pooping he can hold it throughout our walks and go randomly so far.

We started our first practice with our door manners but we used the side gate today for a new challenge. Luca only had a few moments of being redirected and after he make our practice fly by with ease. I'm able to walk as far as I need to for proper conditioning and taking small moments to leave his eye sight to see if he breaks position but he remains on the place pad. I also walk around him before leaving the backyard as a small practice to see if this would make him get up. Each moment of success I have with Luca I break him for his praise making these moments memorable.

Our second practice is of food manners, having Luca wait until hearing break to go to his meal. Luca has his moments not wanting wait in the beginning when we've practiced so we are working through his initial first impulses when first starting. Once Luca knows he's supposed to wait I'm able to roam around the house how I want. Once I break Luca for his food he is somewhat confused about eating because of being redirected impulsively to go to his food. Once I say break there's no leash assistance and I use my voice to motivate Luca to his food which takes a few seconds for him to do. Once he receives his food I will praise him and say good boy to help make the practice memorable.

We spent the remainder of the day focusing on improving all obedience commands with the help of my younger brother acting as a distraction or participating in training Luca.

Pupdate 9/13/2024

Today we had our usual routine of an early morning walk, followed up with playtime with Hunter. They played for about fifteen minutes before Hunter called it quits and wanted to relax while Luca wanted to keep playing so I took time to train him to burn more energy out. Once they were all tired they had their breakfast and had their first nap of the day.

Later on I took Luca to Anaheim Pet & Feed Supply to practice our training in this pet friendly environment. When we first arrived Luca wanted to pull and head inside first so we worked on walking in together. Once we made our way inside Luca had an interest to use his nose passing all the items on the shelves and counters. I would ask for his off obedience command, also known as leave it. When asking for him for his off obedience command I have to see if his eye redirect themselves towards me, acknowledging I'm asking him for something. We had two employees come up to us and ask to say hi to Luca where he wanted to jump on them. We worked through this which only took a few minutes to get Luca to settle and relax when greeting someone. We also got to a point where Luca was rubbing his body on the employee figuring out what's allowed when saying hi to a stranger.

We spent much of our time on duration with sit and down, also improving on recall practicing in the aisles to create less room so Luca can identify his command easier. When using a step pad from the ladders they have in the store I wanted to see if Luca could pose for pictures. I took the time motivating him to place his front paws on objects and eventually came to a point where he could hold this position. As I was teaching him this I used the word "pose" for him to remember. This was a fun trick to teach him today and he made it possible within a few minutes of attempting it.

Luca spent the remainder of the day focusing more on his obedience training at home with the help of my sibling. Luca does well listening to him but continue to break obedience at times which we work through together to make sure Luca can listen to everyone.

Pupdate 9/14/2024

Luca had his usual routine with playtime and breakfast early in the morning. Luca had an accident in the morning as well but this was hours after going poop and potty hours after waking up. After cleaning his mess I gave the dogs more time to lounge on my side of the house while I helped my parents around the house. Checking up on the dogs I would find them playing, smelling each other, or on the floor laying down waiting for me to return and socialize with them.

Later on, we practiced our recall which was our main focus for today. We have been working on this everyday and came to a point where Luca can walk around me back into his heel position. In the video above we practice in the living room as always but today we have our obedience command being done accordingly. Luca can make his way around me without any leash assistance ending in his heel position going into a sit. From here I can ask for any obedience command but for the moment while we practiced we conditioned only our recall. I use my right hand as a hand signal which Luca identifies fairly well now and follows through with his obedience.

Midday Hunter and Luca had plenty of playtime and Luca started to show signs of needing to pee so I escorted him outside which we had success marking another "go potty" moment. I've noticed with Luca's body language now his tail is easier to identify when it goes up, as well when he puts his head down at the same moment. This is the moment to take Luca outside to go potty which has been working out so far.

Our last video clips we are practicing outside in the front with recall again. While practicing in the front I practice by myself and then Nick tries on his own. While practicing outside Luca breaks his position at times so we will continue to focus on improving this outside when we go to parks or shopping centers.

Pupdate 9/15/2024

This morning consisted of an early walk with my personal dog and play before doing some minimal training. We followed up with heel practice in the front of the house for about thirty minute before heading back inside to have breakfast. After breakfast I had practiced keeping Luca in a down while doing some work on the computer and he did well staying by my side not being so impulsive to get up.

In the video above we continued where we left off yesterday with our recall practice. We used our place mat to keep distance from Luca before having him follow up with his recall. I'm instructing my brother again on his recall and touching up on his form so Luca can perform it better for him. We ask Luca to place but from a distance to show him a send away to place. This is directing Luca to go onto the place mat but with distance instead of assisting him onto it. We are still working with the space close to the mat signaling Luca but we will work on asking Luca to place while next to him to see if he can direct himself onto a platform when I point to it. The second video clip is how Luca can perform his heel now. While walking with him he has a pace with me staying next to my side without much leash tension from him trying to pull. When heeling with my brother he does very well with him and performs his other commands before breaking him for praise.

The last video clip we are focusing on Luca's confidence with noises happening which can cause him to break his obedience. When practicing my brother is in the room calling to Luca, also teasing a squeaky toy in front of Luca to see if he breaks position. Luca did very well but got up twice during our practice due to excitement from seeing his water bowl and the noises from the squeaky toy. We will continue to practice this more to see if we can improve on all variations of noises that are possible to come into Luca's life.

Today we headed over to Whittier Narrows Park in El Monte, CA to meet up with the Offleash team and practice our obedience around each other. When we first arrived we waited for our friends to arrive so we practiced our training near some benches under a large canopy.

Once everyone arrived we focused on our obedience practicing all of our obedience commands that we have learned. After some time I had a few members of the team participate in saying hi to Luca since they are aware of how to approach a dog. We had Megan, Mike, and Amanda greet Luca which he did very well with except for his habit of wanting to paw someone while being petted. This isn't often but each time he wants to be playful I will redirect him to stop and hold his place more appropriately.

Our last video clip we focused on walking with another dog which was Oso the Chocolate Labrador. Oso is a very well behaved dog who shows constant joy and playfulness while socializing so he was the perfect distraction walking together. Luca tried to kiss and lick Oso as he did Hunter when starting our walks. I redirect him for this behavior so he can understand that walking together with other dogs is normal. Within a few seconds of beginning Luca acknowledges his objective and gives Oso less attention to follow through with heeling with me. When walking in circles around him he tries to take these moments to get up so I have to focus on catching his leash in case he tries to create a lot of distance. I hold onto the leash to help Luca's confidence so Oso and I can make our laps around Luca. After we have our moment of success I have Oso go into a down so I can finish our practice by breaking Luca while Oso stays put. It takes a few seconds but Luca makes his way to me without going to Oso.

Luca got to spend some time training with Megan and she had no issues training him. He was able to do his obedience without wanting to be attached to me nor did he ever bark from being distant from me.

Today we headed back over to Anaheim Feed & Pet Supply to practice our obedience training indoors inside a store. When we first arrived Luca did very well walking in with me but being indoors I've noticed this is the time he will change his demeanor slightly seeming uneasy. When focusing on our commands today our main focus was extended down since this was the only obedience command Luca was having trouble with. Throughout the visit he was doing better at hearing random noises that would happen throughout the store. When people passed by him there were moments they would verbalize towards him so I would ask for his off obedience command, also known as leave it. I would ask for his off just to make sure he was engaged and he did well with most people passing him besides one woman that seemed too cheerful upon seeing him. Before leaving we had another employee greet Luca and it went well for the brief moment he got to meet another stranger.

We followed up with more house training which has been going well without much issues. Our main focus at home was recall and food manners keeping Luca more patient each time he sees a food bowl. I also took time training Luca with treats around the house to work on all types of variations of training that can benefit him in the long run.

Pupdate 9/18/2024

Today's focus was improving on all obedience commands without leash assistance. We had some minor training early in the morning to work with each command and identify my hand signals towards Luca. Luca does pick up on some of the hand signals for his commands but not all. In the video above we are focusing on our commands but using my hand signals as the guide to each command so once he is able to follow through with obedience with the hand signal, I can break him for his praise. When working on his down he needed some light assistance from the leash or seeing me come down with the leash but we continue to work on his ability to do this without his leash assistance.

Our last practice we focused on was his pose trick/obedience command that I taught him. I thought it would be fun to take pictures with Luca once he picks up his front paws and holds his placement since he can hold it for some duration. As we practiced there were moments Luca breaks his obedience but redirecting him as usual helps with his conditioning of the command. Once I create a few distractions to instigate Luca's impulses he seems to do ok and I break him for his praise. We will continue to practice this outside to perform this at a quality level.

Pupdate 9/19/2024

This morning was somewhat raining so we had a quick walk for a potty break before heading back inside for the weather to settle. I had the dogs play inside for about an hour before Hunter wanted to go back into his crate. I had Luca leashed in my room and had him practice his place while I was on the computer and he was able to keep himself on it without moving. I also walked out of the room to see if Luca would follow but he would remain in my room letting me continue my work.

After a few hours after breakfast once Luca woke up it was time to take him out to a park for some exercise and visit a new setting. We headed over to Hillcrest Park in Downtown Fullerton to walk around and practice our obedience throughout the park. We made our way around the park keeping Luca close to me without giving him the ability to branch away from me. When passing people he seemed interested to say hi but passed by most without hesitation. Once we made it to the fountain I had practiced our recall and place command with the edge of the fountain wide enough for Luca to place himself on. At first he couldn't fully go up so I took my time being patient with him until we had our moment with success with him jumping up. Once Luca got up the first time it was easier for him to get up every other time.

Our last objective for the visit was practicing going up and down stairs that the park has. These are long staircases and are perfect for exercise for all growing dogs. We used one side of a staircase that seemed empty with no people passing by so we practiced going up and down. At first going down Luca wanted to lead but redirecting him once got him into a pace with me. When going up Luca was a natural at being slow and taking his time going up each step. We did this 3 times and Luca immediately tired out so we headed home.

Pupdate 9/20/2024

Today's video we have some puppy play with both of the dogs socializing with each other after our morning walk. Luca has been playful since the first day he's been over so he and Hunter got along immediately. In the video above Luca's typical behavior is somewhat stimulated but just wanting to motivate Hunter to play with him at his pace.

Our main practice today was impulse control while inside the kitchen. I wanted to test Luca to see if he could maintain his down with duration while I finish cleaning the dishes. Luca did well throughout the moments I would wash dishes but opening a cabinet or moving around seemed to be something Luca was uncomfortable with still. I redirect him for both of these moments and continue to clean the dishes to complete our practice. I will take more time working on this small task so Luca can have better patience while waiting when tasks are being done around the house.

We followed up with the rest of the day going over each obedience command conditioning them to make sure Luca can do them first try, also with his hand signals to each command. We spent time conditioning Luca going inside and out the crate on command as well.

Pupdate 9/21/2024

Today we headed over to Irvine Spectrum to do some shopping and spend some time in different areas of the shopping center practicing our obedience training. It was very packed today so Luca quickly noticed the deeper we went into the shopping center. I kept him close to me as we passed many groups of people and Luca had an interest in investigating certain people that would call to him. Anyone that ignored him, he never batted an eye towards them but if anyone was to call to Luca with a childish tone, this would instigate his excitement. I would verbalize his off obedience command to keep him engaged which worked at times but we had many moments of him breaking obedience out of insecurity. When practicing his sit, down or place with distance he wouldn't want to hold his positions at first but after taking some time to work through this Luca managed. Walking into stores and asking Luca to down while inside went well each time we entered a store. When seeing other dogs Luca would rarely give them any attention since he was focused on the amount of people he was around today.

After a break and having some water we took one lap around the shopping center before going home. Luca seemed slower at this point so I kept him motivated to walk with me by verbalizing to him and minimal leash pressure so he wouldn't end up far behind me. Once we returned home Luca took a nap immediately in his crate for a few hours and enjoyed his Saturday night playing with Hunter and spending time around my brother, practicing training.

Pupdate 9/22/2024

This morning we had an early walk in the morning before I needed to leave for some time to do some errands. I haven't placed Luca back into his crate after a walk but returning home he was calm and quiet without making much noise. Luca's crate training seems to be good overall, even if I have to place him back inside after some exercise, he can abide with no issue.

We did some door manners training in the backyard again and we have been having success practicing with all doors in and outside of the house. In the video above I keep the door closed this time while Luca is performing his sit. Once I come around I ask him to go into a down so I can open the door. Walking to the front of the house has been easy to challenge Luca since he seems fully aware to not leave once asked for his obedience. When reaching for his leash he remains in his down and we are able to walk to the front together with ease.

The second video we are working on our send away to place which has improved with some distance. Our main goal for Luca to understand this completely is my hand sign signaling him to go on the pad. I always start off as close as I can to signal him before creating distance for him to travel. I try to end up at half the distance it takes for him to walk so I can continue to travel farther when asking. At times when signaling to place while next to him he is confused but with the rest of this week we have plenty of time to continue our training to perfect this advanced obedience command.

Pupdate 9/23/2024

Today we headed back to Whittier Narrows Park to train with the Offleash team with some of the new dogs our friends are working with at the moment. When we arrived we waited a few minutes for everyone to arrive and upon seeing some new dogs, Luca started to get excited. It was easy to have him settle after redirecting him from this impulsive behavior and immediately didn't mind that he was seeing new dogs as they trained with their trainers.

We spent much of our time working on each obedience command throughout the visit making sure Luca can hold his obedience when asked around other dogs. At times he would fail but could recover quickly throughout the visit. We took time training with another pup friend of ours named Ruby, seen in the pictures above with Luca. During our walk Luca tried kissing Ruby throughout the walk so during these moments he needed to be redirected to walk as if he walks with Hunter during the mornings. Luca eventually settles after being redirected one and could remain in a heel as we walked in the park together. Our last objective today was having Luca train with a new trainer who is apart of the team. Luca was happy working with JV and showing some signs of overexcitement but JV was well aware enough to not excite Luca and trained him as if I was.

By the end of the visit Luca would lay down from all the exercise he had today and would let other dogs pass by him with their trainers as a distraction which he did well being.

Pupdate 9/24/2024

Today we had our morning routine of a 45 minute walk before heading back home for Luca and Hunter to play. We practiced some obedience training with Hunter as a distraction and shortly after the dogs played for twenty minutes before heading inside to eat breakfast.

Later on we headed to Citadel Outlets again to work on our obedience training in a social setting. When we first arrived Luca didn't seem as excited being here, showing much confidence from the start and understanding our walk is our main priority. When meeting up with a friend from Offleash Luca didn't mind seeing her dog so we went for a walk around the shopping center.

In the video above is a display of the training we did today. Fun fact about our video is that Luca did all of this in one attempt without making any mistakes, which is really good! Luca has shown much improvement each day we have practiced since the beginning of his board & train and by now he seems to acknowledge everything as a young pup should. Luca does each command shown which are his recall. heel, extended down, and place with a extended sit followed up. When I end our training session I say "break" for Luca to be rewarded as always for being obedient.

Pupdate 9/25/2024

Today consisted of a morning walk which was about 35 - 40 minutes before heading home to have training and playtime before breakfast. Our morning training consisted of obedience with Hunter doing commands side by side. My younger brother didn't have school today so he worked with Hunter while I worked with Luca, eventually switching dogs and Luca working with my brother went well. Luca was very playful putting his paws on him my brother so we worked on trying to stop this habit from just being around or greeted by Nick. Luca is getting older so more energy seems to be noticeable in him today that usual.

In the video above is one of our training sessions that we did throughout the day. This is another send away to place practice which I have changed to see what variation can help Luca learn how to place without any assistance with the leash. This is to be able to work offleash when being asked commands from a distance such as sit, down, or place from another platform to the next. I'm motivating him with treats just for this practice to improve on identifying my hand signal when asking him to come and place when asked. He does well now at home practicing this so now we will spend the remaining few days on improving this and continue to visit other places for our obedience training.

Pupdate 9/26/2024

Today we headed over to Santa Monica Pier to expose Luca to a busy environment while working on our obedience training. When we arrived we headed over to the Pier and Luca seemed excited more than ever to be here since there was so much going on. To my surprise he didn't pull as much and could stay consistent with me on our walk with groups of people passing by us. We practiced all of our obedience commands throughout the Pier in most areas which went well. We had guests who wanted to greet Luca but they weren't respectful when I given the proper instructions to say hi to him. I gave instructions indicating Luca likes when people are calm and collective when being greeted but everyone who tried to say hi would do the complete opposite, even asking for Luca's paw when I only gave permission to pet him. When they would fail I would recall Luca to not be influenced by a strangers desire to do whatever they want with him.

The rest of our visit we had no interruptions and made our visit as positive as I could for Luca since it was his first time being here. In the last photo displayed above I asked Luca to place and most people that passed by made comments saying how cute and well behaved Luca is. We spent the remainder of our day at home with much play time with Hunter after Luca's long nap from today's visit.

Pupdate 9/27/2024

This morning we had our usual routine of a walk but this time we started our training first before having playtime with Hunter. In the video above is our house training of food, door, and car manners. In each video clip our obedience is done with ease with Luca performing everything first try. It's been easy to train with Luca at home with these tasks and asking for obedience for each of our practices shows Luca's knowledge of boundaries and the rules applied to each task. The last video clip shows our car manners which hasn't been shown yet. When loading Luca into my car I have a crate for him and he jumps right in when asked to go inside. The key detail before loading him into a car is giving him space to allow him to travel inside with no leash assistance. Once he's inside I take his collars off and we are on our way to go places.

We spent another day revisiting Irvine Spectrum with our friend Amanda and her dog. Her dog was a big Great Dane that Luca couldn't contain himself around at times so we kept them distant just so Luca can take a lot of time desensitizing himself to a Great Dane. Eventually Luca settled and we could take pictures next to him.

We spent time walking around the shopping center and practicing our obedience well but Luca started to be silly and somewhat inconsistent with this heel. I switched my leashes out and kept him on a shorter leash to limit the distance he can travel but have enough slack in the leash to walk loose and freely.

Pupdate 9/28/2024

Today is Luca's last day of his training so this morning we had our usual routine of a walk, playtime, and training early in the morning. We went over all obedience commands as always making sure Luca acknowledges each obedience command when asked.

In the video above we are focusing on his pose trick I taught him, conditioning it to the word "model" now since pose and place sound the same and he's been getting the two mixed up practicing outside. When asking him to model now he seems more aware and as usual able to hold his placement until I say break. At one point offscreen my mother turned on a vacuum while cleaning one of the cars. This got Luca's attention but we were able to work through the noise. When asking for the two different commands Luca seemed aware compared to the past few days being confused on his command/trick.

Luca has finished all 3 weeks of his Board & Train Program, being able to go out and explore new environments with confidence each step of the way. I'm glad for a young puppy like Luca to have started his training early and I was fortunate enough to help him achieve these goals. Having a young talented puppy isn't always common but Luca has been able to become one of those young pups who learned everything with each day that has gone by. Luca went from pulling and being an overly excited dog to being more knowledgeable and well mannered outside. Luca will be missed here at home but its time to send him back to his family to be the companion and loving Luca at home for them!
