Welcome back Rebel!

Rebel is staying with us for a little boarding visit and we’re happy to have her back. She originally came through our board and train program, so it’s always great getting to see past clients return and continue their journey with us.

While she’s here we’ll keep her obedience sharp and reinforce the work she already knows, making sure she continues making good choices in different environments.

Of course it won’t be all work. Rebel will get plenty of time to relax, play, and enjoy herself while she’s here. She’s a fun dog to have around and we’re looking forward to the next few days with her.

Our little sunbather is back at it!

Rebel has been having a great time during her stay with us. Since she’s already been through the program, this visit is all about keeping her sharp while making sure she gets plenty of time to just be a dog and enjoy herself.

She’s been jumping right back into things like she never left—running through her commands, staying responsive, and showing that the training has really stuck. It’s always nice seeing a dog come back and pick everything up so naturally.

Outside of the training moments, Rebel has been soaking up the fun—getting out, exploring, and enjoying the extra attention. She’s got a great personality and always brings a little energy with her wherever she goes.

Safe to say Rebel is making the most of her time here.

Rebel’s been taking things nice and easy today, settling into a slower pace and enjoying the simple things. She’s spent a good bit of time stretched out in the sunshine, soaking up the warm rays like it’s her full-time job.

Every now and then she’ll pick her head up, look around to make sure everything’s just the way it ought to be, then go right back to her favorite activity—sunbathing. Rebel’s always been good at enjoying the quiet moments, and today she’s doing it in style.

It’s been a peaceful day for her, plenty of fresh air, a little lounging, and lots of sunshine. Hard to beat a day like that.

Rebel had a relaxed day with us today. Because of the heat, we kept outdoor time limited to quick potty breaks only, making sure she stayed comfortable and cool. Most of the day was spent inside where she could relax, stretch out on the cool floor, and enjoy some downtime.

Even with the slower pace, we still worked in some training. Rebel practiced holding long positions while normal household activity was going on—watching movies, cleaning the house, and moving around. This helps reinforce her patience and ability to stay committed to commands even when life is happening around her.

She did a great job staying settled and focused, earning a few treats along the way for her effort. Rebel seemed perfectly content just hanging out and being part of the day. Always a pleasure having her here.

Rebel got to do a little training work today with a controlled introduction to a very hyper puppy. The exposure was done safely through a gate so she could see and experience all that playful puppy energy without any direct contact, keeping everything structured and safe.

She handled it really well. Rebel stayed calm and thoughtful while the puppy bounced around on the other side, which is exactly what we want to see. In the photos you’ll notice her tail standing up, which is a really nice sign of confidence from her. Rebel tends to tuck her tail quickly if she’s feeling stressed or unsure, so seeing her carry it up like that shows she was feeling comfortable and secure during the exercise.

It was a great little confidence-building moment for her, and she took the whole situation in stride. After her training time, she settled back in and enjoyed the rest of her day.

We were out early again this morning, getting ahead of the heat before it had a chance to settle in. The air was cool, the world still quiet, and Rebel stepped into it ready to work.

There’s a rhythm to these mornings with her now. We moved through her training routine piece by piece—nothing rushed, just steady, intentional reps to keep everything sharp. She knows the flow, anticipates what’s next, and meets it with focus and confidence.

Between moments of work, she’d pause, take in the surroundings, then snap right back in when it was time. That balance is really starting to show—able to enjoy the calm, but just as ready to dial in when asked.

These early sessions are where it all comes together for Rebel. Quiet reps, clear mind, solid work—exactly how she likes it.

Rebel has been adjusting well as we work through this heat wave, with most of her activity shifted indoors to keep things safe and comfortable. With the higher temperatures, we’re limiting outdoor exposure and focusing on cooler, controlled environments instead.

She’s been doing a great job staying engaged with structured indoor play, light training, and enrichment work to keep both her body and mind active. Rebel carries herself with a calm, steady energy, and she’s settled nicely into this slower, more intentional routine.

Outdoor time has been short and purposeful—just enough before heading right back inside to cool off. She’s handling everything really well, staying relaxed, comfortable, and in a good rhythm despite the heat.
