Reine grew up in Santa Barbara with German Shepherds and began helping her father train the family dogs at age 12. Where she learned to manage resource guarding and other behavioral challenges. Reine later worked as kennel staff at a local shelter, observing and assisting with reactive dogs and gaining hands-on training experience. Over the years she’s developed deep expertise with reactive, aggressive, and unruly dogs of many breeds and sizes. Her pitābull mix, Cali, inspired her passion for behavior work — after 11 years of patient, consistent training, Cali progressed from severe human aggression to being trusted around children.
Reine has also grown up riding horses for about 15 years, competing in shows all over California. She would bring her pitbull mix to the shows to work on exposure and strengthening commands around horses, dogs, and even barn cats.
Today Reine trains her sixāyearāold Belgian Malinois, excelling at onā and offāleash work and embracing the dedication required for working breeds. All while also raising a 4 month old pitbull mix. Reine blends shelter experience with compassionate, longāterm behavior modification to help dogs and their families thrive.
