Chelsea was born and raised on the east coast of Jacksonville, where her love for animals started long before she ever imagined working with them professionally. Some of her favorite childhood memories were spent at Emerson Kennels with family friend Dory Sparkman, who ran the local Rescue Society. At just twelve years old, Chelsea began volunteering, cleaning kennels, sitting quietly with nervous dogs, and learning that every animal carries its own story.
ā
At fifteen, she welcomed her first dog of her own, a Giant Schnauzer named Wolfy. He was her best friend, her shadow, and her greatest teacher. From the moment he was a puppy, Chelsea took on the responsibility of training him herself. Through Wolfy, she learned how dogs truly experience the world; how they read energy, how they respond to consistency, and how deeply they depend on clear communication. He challenged her, grew with her, and shaped her understanding of behavior in ways no book ever could. From his playful puppy days to his peaceful crossing over the Rainbow Bridge, Wolfy became the reason her love for dogs has known no bounds.
ā
The rescue work she had begun years earlier took on new meaning as she applied those lessons in real time. Though the rescue primarily focused on Akitas throughout Florida, Chelsea worked with dogs from all backgrounds, many coming from severe neglect or cruelty cases. She saw firsthand how fear can look like aggression, how patience can rebuild trust, and how structure can give a dog the confidence to feel safe again.
ā
Just as importantly, she developed deep empathy for the families willing to open their homes to dogs with complicated histories. Chelsea understands that training isn’t just about obedience; it’s about clarity, confidence, and building a relationship rooted in trust. She recognizes the emotional side of bringing a rescue home and meets owners with understanding, encouragement, and practical guidance.āHer passion for animal care also extended beyond dogs through volunteer work at the Jacksonville Zoo, where she observed animal behavior across a wide range of species and gained appreciation for enrichment, structure, and responsible stewardship.

Chelsea believes the best training happens when you and your dog learn together. She works alongside you to build clear communication, mutual trust, and lasting confidence so you don’t just have a well-trained pup, but a companion you truly understand.
