Meet Wendy! Born and raised amidst the vibrant energy of Los Angeles, California, Wendy's lifelong connection with dogs began in her childhood home, where a furry companion was always part of the family. This early love for dogs naturally led her to pursue a career working with canines, and she eagerly seized the opportunity when it arose, landing the job she had always dreamed of.

 

Wendy's impressive career spans over 14 years as a dog handler for the Department of Homeland Security. During this time, she worked with a diverse range of dog breeds and partnered with five different dogs, including a Labrador, two Golden Retrievers, and two German Shorthaired Pointers (GSPs). Her extensive experience in this role provided her with invaluable insights into canine behavior and training techniques.

 

In 2021, Wendy transitioned into a career as a professional dog trainer, specializing in detection work and behavioral training. Her passion lies in helping dogs reach their full potential while strengthening the bond between them and their handlers. Recognizing that each dog is unique, Wendy tailors her training approach to meet their individual needs, employing proven methods to build confidence, reliability, and success. As a lifelong dog lover, Wendy is deeply committed to enhancing communication between dogs and their handlers. She believes that a strong and effective partnership is built on mutual understanding and respect. By focusing on clear communication and positive reinforcement, she helps dogs and their handlers develop a well-balanced and harmonious relationship.

 

Currently, Wendy is enjoying life as an empty nester with her new furry companion, a 1-year-old Golden Retriever named Dottie. Dottie brings immense joy and companionship to Wendy's life, and she is dedicated to providing her with the best possible care and training.
