Today Ziggy and I worked on building engagement and walked around the park. At first Ziggy was wary of being touched on his butt and underbelly, after some time Ziggy started to get more and more comfortable around me and my manager! Our training starts as soon as ziggy gets to my home , we will be working on ecollar conditioning, teaching ziggy what the button and feelings means. Overall getting him comfortable working with the new tool.

Today ziggy and I worked on heel with the ecollar tool, we worked on getting his head to turn for the button/feeling of the ecollar. He did a absolutely great job! As you can see in the video he responded really well with little to no leash pressure, we also started to pair the sit command with the button as well! Overall ziggy did a great job in a public setting learning without any complications.

Today Ziggy and I took a field trip to a local indoor mall in Brea Ca! During our trip, we focused on ecollar training and worked on pairing the heel, sit, and down command leash pressure with the ecollar tool. I noticed Ziggy at first was a bit stubborn at learning the down command but after repetitions of the down command over and over he started to pick things up quicker and quicker. Overall Ziggy did a great job today working in a public setting alongside another dog as well!

Today Ziggy and I went to a local park by my house in San Dimas Ca, to get some training in! We focused on his heel, sit, and down commands. We also added the recall command as well, over the next few days I will be focusing on proofing these commands in public places to make sure ziggy and I are on the same page! Overall Ziggy is picking things up quickly!

Today Ziggy and I met up with the Offleash socal team at a local park in Anaheim Ca! Today we focused on our recall command around other dogs along with reinforcing the regular commands, during our recalls, I focused on having ziggy come around on my right side and loop around and sit on my left heel. Ziggy is picking things up quickly and understanding the ecollar more and more now.

Today Ziggy and I worked on my driveway to get some distractions from the cars passing by. We focused on the introduction to the “place” command. Every time I asked Ziggy for place, I would use the stem from the ecollar at the same. Once Ziggy feels the ecollar it’s up to him if he wants to get on. If he decides to be stubborn and not listen to the command the stem from the ecollar slowly gets more and more intense, until he gets on. As soon as those four paws gets on the place cot, the feelings from the ecollar completely goes away and we reward! With repetition comes speed! Once ziggy gets the hand of it, the place command will be a lot faster and more clean.

Today I gave Ziggy a light day, we focused on proper socialization today. I have noticed that Ziggy does get very obsessive with the other male dogs here at my house. Nothing aggressive but he does try to dominate the other males. That’s something I’ve been working on daily letting him know it’s okay to play but he can’t mount, it all started with him obsessively licking other dogs.

Today Ziggy and I worked in front of my house on my driveway, with distractions coming from the street as well as my dog! Today we focused on reinforcing all of Ziggy’s commands. He understands everything I’m asking for, now it’s just making everything more on point. Overall ziggy did a great job today.

Today Ziggy and I took another field trip to my local Home Depot in San Dimas Ca! Today we worked on all of Ziggy’s commands with just the leash dragging. Today we focused more on recalls to sit, I noticed that’s what he struggles with the most at times. Overall in the video you can see Ziggy has a full understanding of all the commands I’m asking for now. Now it’s just adding more and more distractions for Mr.Ziggy!

Today ziggy and I worked off leash at park next to my house with minimal distractions from kids at the playground. Ziggy has a full understanding of everything I’m asking of him now, occasionally he does try to be stubborn when it comes to the place command but he is getting way better day by day!

Today Ziggy and I took a field trip to my local Home Depot again to get some training in! Today we focused on duration, holding his position until being given the “break” command. During the video, you can see him doing a great job just holding his position as people and carts have been crossing back and forth. At first Ziggy was getting scared of the carts, but after having him hang out around the sounds more and more he started to get desensitized to the sounds around him. Overall Ziggy did a great job today. Tomorrow we will be adding more and more distractions to our training.

Today Ziggy and I met up with the offleash socal team at a local park in El Monte Ca to get some training in! During our session Ziggy and I focused on working on all of his commands off leash around other dogs and people. During our session I had to use a higher stimulation level to show Ziggy at times when he doesn’t listen , the stimulation does get more and more intense. Ziggy did a great job figuring out situations at times when he decided to be stubborn.

Pupdate 11-29-2022

Today for the first half of our training session we went to meet up with the offleash team at a local outdoor outlet to get some training in! During our session we focused on off leash training around distractions in the public setting! Along with greeting manners from strangers as well. Ziggy is no longer wearying of strangers, at first he would growl at strangers that would come up to him. After repetitions of the same thing showing him how to properly greet people he started to grasp a full understanding.
