Zeus, a four month old Belgian Malinois, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Three Week Puppy Board and Train program. Zeus comes to us with little knowledge of commands, leash pulling, jumping, and reactivity towards people, dogs, and moving cars. Over the three weeks Zeus will be working on his on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!

Zeus is settling in well at my home. He was a bit nervous meetings pack. He was barking and snapping at the dogs in the beginning, but once he warmed up to them, Zeus started being playful.

Today Zeus and I stayed home for training. We practiced commands Sientate and Place. Zeus did a great job. He is a very quick learner.

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his commands. He was a bit reactive and was barking at everything when we first arrived, but as we practiced his commands Zeus settled down and became more focused. We practiced commands: Sientate, Ven, Abajo, and Place. He did a great job today!

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his commands. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Zeus had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. He was very reactive when we first arrived; jumping, barking, and lunging. As we worked on his commands he was able to settled down, ignore the distractions, and focus on me and his commands. We practiced Sientate, Abajo, Ven, Dejalo, and Place. He had one potty accident in the house today.

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his commands. I introduced him to a training collar. We practiced a new command, Heel. He caught on to this command very fast! Heel is still a work in progress, but he is walking better at my side and more focused on his walk.

Today Zeus and I went to The Citadel Outlet to work on his obedience around high distractions. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so
Zeus had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. He did very well! He wasn’t reactive towards people or the other dogs. He was focused and obedient. One of our new OffLeash trainers assisted me with training Zeus. Zeus behaved well with him and followed all the commands.

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his commands. He did a great job today! He wasn’t reactive and didn’t bark when getting out of the car. He didn’t bark or lunge at other people and dogs passing by. We practiced all his commands. Zeus worked on his duration and distance. He was focused and obedient.

Today Zeus and I went to Lowes to work on his commands around distractions. He did very well. He was very focused and obedient. We also practiced a new command, Come to Heel.

Today Zeus and I worked on his commands at home. I used his friends as distractions and let them play while Zeus and I practiced his obedience. He did a great job at ignoring them and staying focused on me. He followed all his commands, even when the other dogs tried to get him to play with them.

Today Zeus and his friend, Diana, joined me on a shopping spree at the mall. Zeus practiced his commands around distractions. He did great! He followed all his commands. Zeus received a few compliments on how well behaved he is.

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his commands. One of our new OffLeash trainers assisted me with training Zeus. Zeus did very well with the other trainer. He followed all his commands. We worked on Zeus's distance and duration. He is getting much better at holding his commands.

Today Zeus and I went to the Block at Orange to work on his commands around distractions. He did great with all the people distractions around us. He didn't bark or lunge at anyone. He was focused and obedient. Zeus had a few admirers that stopped to watch him train.

Today Zeus and I went to the park to work on his obedience. There were minimal distractions, so Zeus was very focused and followed all his commands. We practiced his duration and distance. He is doing an awesome job with his training!

Today Zeus, Diana, and I went to the park to do some training. Zeus practiced all his commands. He did pretty well. He did get excited when seeing the ducks and geese. A few times he wanted to chase them, but I made sure he listened and followed through with his commands.

Happy Halloween! Today Zeus and I went to The Citadel Outlet to work on his obedience. He did an awesome job with all the distractions around us. He stayed focused and followed all his commands! Zeus received a few compliments on how well behaved he is.

Today I took Zeus to The Block in Orange to work on his obedience around distractions. There were many people, other OffLeash trainers, and their dogs which offered Zeus an environment to test his training. He was a little stubborn today, and found it slightly overwhelming with all the stimulation in the environment. After walking around for a while, he was able to focus on his obedience and cues.

Today Zeus and I went down to the beach to work on his obedience around distractions. He did pretty well. It was pretty windy and that made him a little nervous. He also got distracted by all the pigeons we walked by. He thought they were a toy. Other than that, Zeus did well with following his commands, even with cars, people, and dogs passing by.

Today Zeus and I stayed home for training. We practiced all his commands. I used his friends as a distraction and let them play while we practiced commands. Zeus did very well. He stayed focused, even with his friends taunting him to play. We also worked on his door manners, food manners, and loading into the car.

Today Zeus took the day off from training and spent the day playing and socializing with his friends before he goes home tomorrow.
I gave him a bath so he could be clean when he sees you, but it didn't last long. He wrestled around with his buddies getting dirty again. Zeus can't wait to show you everything he has learned!
