Winston | Great Dane | Anaheim, CA | In Training |
Updated: Jun 28
I would like to introduce Winston to the OffLeash SoCal clan as our newest member. This gentle giant is here for our two week board and train and I couldn’t be any more excited. Winston was rescued from an abusive household and because of that he isn’t so trusting of people. However, he loves other dogs and pouts when they don’t want to play with him. Within the next two weeks we are going to be working on his leash pulling, his off leash recall, and his ability to trust people. Check back in for his amazing transformation.
Winston has been getting alot of exposure to other dogs. We have been training in the morning when it’s cool as well as in the evening. Winston is making great progress and he is only 2 days into training.
Winston is coming along with his training and is killing it. I was able to place him on three different objects today and he even helped me take in the trash cans. This gentle giant is going to be hard to say goodbye two at the end of his two weeks.
Winston has been on a daily schedule where he trains twice a day once in the morning and once in the afternoon. That training consists of heeling around the block, working on all of his commands, as well as working on socialization skills. Winston is ready to be off leash.
Winston is working through dog Distractions, car distractions, as well as staying on my left side consistently. We have about 1 week left, and I can’t wait to see how much progress he makes rbis last week.
