He is a social guy, who will greet anyone in his path, but tends to jump and be mouthy when saying hello. He is joining us for our two week board and train program to work on his obedience and manners. Check in to see his transformation.

Tyrone and I went to a park today to work on his commands. We practiced come and sit, place, and even tried practicing not pulling on the leash. Tyrone did awesome! He is such a fast learner, but still need some more work on loose leash walking. Not bad for his first day of training. He also found a stick and decided he was going to carry it around where ever we went.

TyRone is doing an awesome job! I think place has become is favorite command. We practiced come to sit at the park this morning, then went around the neighborhood to work on loose leash walking and the down command.

Today we went down the the Whittier Greenway Trail enjoyed a nice long walk. TyRone is doing awesome with loose leash walking, I barely have to hold onto the leash! He should be off leash in no time. We found some boulders that we used for the place command.

TyRone was a big help today at Lowe’s. He assisted a senior in high school who is doing her senior project on therapy dogs. She worked with TyRone on all his obedience commands: Come, Sit, Down, Place, Heel, and Greeting Manners. She was even able to walk him without holding onto the leash!

Today was very eventful for TyRone. We worked all off leash today. We worked on distance and duration down. We went to lunch where he waited patiently in the down command. TyRone sat politely while children gave him some love and attention, and he didn’t try to be mouthy with them either. He also saw horses for the the first time today.

A little timeout session for running around in the house, so Pippi and Tyrone had to practice the place command. Not really sure if timeout worked considering they did stay in the command but decided they were still going to have fun and give each other kisses. We have been practicing food manners where he has to sit, wait for me to put his food bowl down, then has to wait until I allow him to eat.

TyRone enjoyed the day out at my family’s vineyard. He made new doggie and human friends. He worked on greeting manners, which he did great without being mouthy, and all obedience commands.

Day out at The Citadel Outlets. TyRone did great off leash with all the noises and distractions. He wasn’t too thrilled shopping with the girls.

Today TyRone and I decided to visit the dog park. No we did not go inside the park, because I am not a fan, but do like using the dog park as a tool. Its a great place to go work on obedience commands, especially if your dog highly distracted by other dogs. TyRone did pretty good walking past the park. He was interested and would look over at all the dogs playing but he still stayed in the commands i asked if him. After all his hard work and resisting running over to the dogs on the other side of the fence, we had our own dog socialization party with my pack and a friends dog.

Today TyRone went on a field trip to Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. We met up with some of our Offleash trainers and their canines to practice obedience commands. Crowds of people, loud noises, high car and tour bus traffic; it is the perfect place with very high distractions. TyRone did awesome! He stayed by my side while we walked through crowds, ignored our trainers dogs and other people‘s dogs, while in a command, even if they tried to come up and to meet him. He can’t wait to show his mom all he has learned!

Last day of doggie bootcamp for TyRone! Today we just stayed home and had some fun. All the dogs went for a walk together this morning. After their walk, they ran around in the yard and played until they tired each other out. They all sun bathed and took a little nap, then it was back on for round to of playing. TyRone has been such a great boy the time he has been with me. My pack and I will definitely miss him when he goes home.
