Teddy, a one year old German Shepherd, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Two Week Board and Train program. Teddy a gentle giant who loves getting all the attention. He comes to us with lack of following commands, easily distracted, leash pulling, jumping to greet, being mouthy, etc. Over the two weeks Teddy will be working on his off leash obedience and manners. Today I introduced and conditioned Teddy to the ecollar. We worked on his obedience at home. We tried our best to work out of the rain, but there was a little drizzle. We practiced commands Sit and Place. Place is a command where Teddy must sit or lay on a defined object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching him to be calm and relaxed. He did great on his first day of training. Teddy is having a blast with all his new buddies! He did not make it easy for me to put in his eye drops.
