Soli and I spent the day getting to know each other! We went to a local park to work on her heel command as well as introduce her to the e-collar. At first she was a little bit confused and spooked but she caught on quickly! She did try to pull me as we walked down the park trail in the beginning but is slowly getting the hang of it. She did jump up on me a couple of times so I corrected her every time she did. We also worked on her sit command as well as her come to sit. She was a little confused in the beginning and would try to wiggle out of her leash. After a couple of tries she got the hang of getting in the right position. Soli is being such a good girl as has gotten comfortable in her kennel. We ended the day with a little play time before dinner! She was exhausted! She ate all of her food and had a treat before bed!

Soli went to Cheviot Hills Park where we met up with other trainers! She was really excited when we first got there and couldn’t concentrate. After a bit of heeling, she seemed to calm down and walk at my pace. She has gotten better at her heel and doesn’t pull as much as she used to. He has also gotten a bit better at seeing other dogs. She still gets excited but isn’t trying to go up to them. She still jumps a bit but after a couple of corrections she thinks before she decides to jump. We also worked on her come to sit. She had a bit of trouble getting into the right position, she would try to sit side ways or try and face me. We worked on come to sit a bit more and she soon got what I was trying to have her do. We introduced durations today as well with her sit. She got up a couple of times but I was able to get a couple of steps away from her without her getting up. Overall, Soli did an amazing job!

Soli went to a local park today to work on building her confidence. She didn’t want to jump up on anything that was too high such as the car. We worked on having her jump on small benches, slippery slides and in the car. It took a couple of tries but she got it. It still takes her some time to jump off my car, she thinks it’s too high. We also worked on some more of her heeling. She didn’t try to pull me as much today and was listening to her off command whenever she would go too far ahead. We also passed by a couple of barking dogs and she did amazing staying in her heel. We’re also worked on her come to sit. She does want to still sit facing me or at an angle. She can get a bit nippy when she gets overwhelmed or tries to bite and twist in her leash! She learned the down command today as well. It took her a couple of tries to really get the hang of it but soon she had no problem downing on different surfaces. She is also a bit vocal whenever she gets a lot of praise, she loves to talk back and whine a bit. Overall, Soli is doing an amazing job and is catching on quickly!
