Skye and I spent the day getting to know each other as well as working on her first command, ‘heel’. She really struggled getting used to the feeling of a flat collar on so she would alligator roll around the ground and bit my thumb. Slowly, she got the hang of the feeling of it around her neck and was able to work really well. She also got used to the e-collar today! She did a great job getting used to it. She is being such a good girl and is adjusting really well to her kennel. She ate half of her dinner.

Skye and I went to a local park to work on her ‘heel’ and her ‘come to sit’ today. She is getting a lot better with having her collar on. She is still very timid and unsure so she will try to hide behind me or lay down any chance she gets. She did a lot better working with the e-collar today but at times will get overwhelmed and try to rush off and hide. She is slowly learning how to ‘heel’ and is getting a lot better with her ‘come to sit’ but still needs some guidance. She ate half of her breakfast and dinner today and drank plenty of water.

Skye and I went to Legg Lake Park today to work on her ‘heel’. She did a lot better but is still getting used to the collar. She is still very timid and nervous and will try to hide between my legs, behind me or scurry off to hide. She is getting a lot better at her ‘come to sit’ but will overwhelm herself and just lay down and not move. She did really well working around other trainers and their pups today. We introduced ‘place’ and she really struggled jumping up onto an object. Overall, she is slowly getting better each day.

Skye and I worked on her ‘heel’ today around my neighborhood. We also worked on her ‘come to sit’ and ‘place’ commands. She did get really distracted when people would come out of their houses and at times would get spooked if she didn’t notice them at first. She did really well walking around my neighborhood but would struggle staying with me. She was really interested in all of the grass. We also went to a local park where Skye was able to work on “place”. She had a hard time jumping up on objects but gained a bit more confidence and we walked around the play ground. She ended the night bonding with me in my home before bed She ate half of her breakfast and dinner!

Skye and I went to Citadel Outlets to work on all of her commands today around distractions. She did a great job working around other people and their dogs. She did struggle with the heat today and was a little lethargic. She wanted to rush to any shady spot. We did work in increments so she isn’t working in the heat too much. She drank plenty of water but didn’t eat her breakfast and nibbled at her dinner.

Skye and I spent the day working on all of her commands at a local park. We took it a bit slow today since she wasn’t feeling too well yesterday. She had a lot of play time and we were able to work on her recall at the park. She did get spooked by a couple of joggers but was able to recover quickly. Skye is feeling a lot better today and is drinking plenty of water. She ate half of her breakfast and dinner and went potty like usual.

Skye and I worked on all of her commands today at a local park! There were a couple of birthday parties at the park and people hitting piñatas. She got really spooked by the hitting noise and tried to scurry but did a great job refocusing. Her heel has gotten a lot better and so has her ‘come to sit’. She still struggles a bit with her ‘place’. She doesn’t want to jump up on higher surfaces so today we focused on getting her familiar with different sizes of place and textures. She drank plenty of water but didn’t eat her dinner. She ate half of her breakfast.

Skye worked on all of her commands with a loose leash today at La Mirada Park. She worked around different distractions such as other trainers and their pups and ducks. She wasn’t really interested in the ducks but she was spooked by them. She had a bit of anxiety going to the park today with all of the people playing tennis and working out on little machines. She did a great overall and was able to do all of her commands. She still struggles to jump in my car but does her ‘place’ really well. She ate half of her breakfast and dinner.

Skye and I worked on all of her commands today at Petsmart. She was really timid at first and had a lot of anxiety. She did get spooked when a couple of dogs barked at her and she tried to hide behind me. She did really well with all of her commands and had enough confidence to jump up on a bag of food. She was really unsure of it at first but after a couple of praises she did great! Skye is doing really well with her ‘heel’ and is being such a good girl! She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and drank plenty of water today.

Skye and I worked on all of her commands at Montebello Mall today. She did really great working around other trainers and their pups but was still a little timid. It did take her a bit to warm up to her new environment. After a couple of minutes she seemed to warm up to everything and was in a really great mood today! Skye is doing amazing and is being such a good girl. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner today!

She did get spooked by a couple of barking dogs but still keep walking next to me. She also did really well with her ‘place’! She did try to get up a couple of times but we just reset and tried again. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and did such a good job!

Skye and I went back to The Block today to work her around distractions. She did such a great job and is a lot more confident being in public. She didn’t get as spooked today was doing all of her commands perfectly. She has gotten a lot better at her ‘heel’ and her ‘place’. She is willing to jump up on more objects but still struggles jumping in the car. The car is a bit too high for her but she still tries by putting her paws up.
