Scout and I spent the day getting to know each other. She was really anxious at first but seemed to relax after a couple of minutes. We had our first lesson today where we worked on her ‘heel’ and ‘come to sit’. She did really well picking up both commands. We also introduced the e-collar today. She was able get familiar with it and adjusted to it quickly. She adapted well to her new environment and didn’t mind the kennel. She is such a good girl. She ate all of her dinner and went potty like normal.

Scout worked on her ‘heel’ and her ‘down’ today at Wilderness Park! She did such a great job ignoring passing people and dogs. She is getting a lot better at her ‘come to sit’ and her ‘place’. She did get up a couple of times when I put her in a ‘down’ or would try to ‘down’ when I put her in a ‘sit’. Overall, she is doing such a great job. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner.

Scout and I went to a local park to work on all of her commands. She is doing really well with her ‘heel’ and her ‘place’. She is gaining a lot more confidence and is able to jump on things that are a lot higher now. She is doing really great walking by people and dogs. She does get a little over excited when she sees multiple dogs but she is able to focus again. We are working on her durations and she is doing a lot better at not getting up. If she gets nervous she will walk over to me. We’re working on having her stay in a ‘down’ or ‘sit’ a lot longer. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner!

Scout went to Petsmart to work on all of her commands! We worked with a very loose leash today and she did great! There were a couple of times when she would lag behind or want to stop but after a couple of corrections she continued walking. She is doing a lot better with her ‘come to sit’ but still needs minimal leash guidance to get her in the correct position. She is being a really good girl and did great ignoring passing people and dogs. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner today!

Scout worked on all of her commands at Santa Monica Pier today. She struggled a bit when we first got to the pier and was really excited to be around other trainers and their pups. She didn’t bark and did great with her ‘heel’! We worked on ‘place’ and she struggled jumping up on high objects, she tired her hardest. We ‘heeled’ up and down the pier passing by hot dog stands and other dogs and she did a great job staying focused. She was interested in all of the pigeons but didn’t make an effort to walk up to them. Scout is learning so much and doesn’t really need much leash guidance when doing her commands! She enjoyed some play time today before bed. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner.

Scout worked on all of her commands today with minimal leash pressure. We were able to do majority of her commands with the leash dragging and no leash guidance. There were a couple of times where she would slow down during our ‘heel’ but she did a great job at catching up with me. She is getting a lot better holding her ‘down’ and her ‘sit’ and has gotten a lot more confident going up on higher places. She did her a bit distracted by a neighbors bounce house and did bark a big. She was a little spooked but I helped her work though it. We spent the rest of the day working on her commands in my home such as her ‘food and door’ manners. She did a great job but struggled being patient with her food. Overall, scout did an amazing job today! She had a bit of fun playing with my chihuahua and lounging in my home!

She did get spooked by some loud children who were running past her and she walked over to me. We also worked on her ‘door manners’ again today and she did great! Scout and I worked on all of her commands around other trainers and their pups today. She is getting a lot better at being around other dogs and doesn’t bark at them like she used to. Her ‘heel’ is also a lot better now but there will be a couple of times when she tries to go a bit in front of me. After a couple of corrections she does amazing. Scout worked on her ‘come to sit’ the most today since she seemed really timid to be around a lot of people. She would often times sit on my feet or a little too far behind. Overall, Scout is doing a great job!
