02/23/2020

Sadie is a very energetic Goldendoodle who is joining us for the next two weeks as apart of our two week board and train program. She has a lot to learn about leash manners and greeting people calmly. With all of her confidence and energy, she can't wait to get started with her training!

Sadie off to a good start on her first day of training. We practiced heeling for a very long time today. She is taking some time to get used to the E Collar but slowly learning. A bit stubborn at first but she begins to follow commands more after a few minutes of working. We've got lots of work to do these next two weeks but Sadie is up to the challenge.

Took Sadie out on her first off leash walk today around my neighborhood. She did fairly well having to receive a moderate amount of corrections from the E Collar but kept up her pace with me and didn't stray too far from me left side at any point.

Sadie did some heel practice today at Lowe's. It was so hot outside we decided to do some practice placing on the furniture indoor and enjoying the air conditioning. Her heel is getting better and she's starting to ignore more distractions around her. She still needs a little warm up before she begins to really behave and focus.

Sadie out with Opie this evening doing some practice heeling around another dog. Sadie loses focus sometimes around other dogs so I've been practicing getting her back in to her commands and out of constant play mode. Shes just so excited about new friends!

Sadie doing some heavy socialization work out at the mall today. Sadie does her best to push passed all the exciting distractions there are out in popular areas. Giving her a chance to warm up to her new environment first a bit before we start to do some training exercises seems to really help her focus.
