Meet Roxy! She’s a sweet and gentle Bully mix from Studio City, California, here for our Three-Week Reactive Board and Train Program! Roxy is an absolute sweetheart who loves being around people, but she sometimes struggles with anxiety, especially around loud noises, large vehicles, and unfamiliar objects. While she knows some basic commands, she often has trouble following through when she’s feeling unsure or distracted.
Over the next twenty-one days, we’ll be focusing on helping Roxy build confidence, sharpening her obedience skills, and teaching her how to stay calm and focused even in challenging environments. We’re so excited to help this loving girl learn to relax and thrive—stay tuned for Roxy’s three-week transformation!

The sweet girl stepped into a lively park today, surrounded by barking and zooming dogs, and we zeroed in on building her comfort alongside solid sits and extended sits. We began in a quieter corner, asking for simple sits to help her settle into the environment—Roxy offered them willingly but with a tense posture, ears flicking at every new sound, so we kept sessions short and rewarded heavily for any calm moment. As other dogs passed at a distance, she’d tense or shift her weight, but gentle praise and a quick release helped her refocus without escalating.
Extended sits were the real work in progress. We aimed for one minute but hovered around 20–30 seconds before she’d stand or turn toward a nearby pup’s playful bark. Each break earned a calm reset rather than frustration, and by the third rep she managed a 40-second hold with softer eyes and a looser body, a small but clear win amid the park’s energy. Distractions pulled her attention often, yet she never bolted or vocalized—just honest learning curves we’ll smooth out with repetition.
We wrapped with low-pressure comfort walks on a loose leash, letting her watch the action from a safe bubble while staying in a relaxed heel. Roxy left the park calmer than she arrived, brain tired from processing but tail wagging softly. Tomorrow we’ll keep criteria achievable, boost reinforcement for stillness, and gradually close the gap to busier zones. She’s finding her footing, one steady breath at a time!

Welcome back to Roxy’s blog! Today we took our training to the bustling Victoria Gardens outdoor mall, and this girl rose to the challenge like a true pro. We ran through every command—sit, down, place, heel, recall—with distractions everywhere: shoppers, strollers, the scent of pretzels in the air. Roxy held her positions beautifully.
She’s still adjusting to the Leader around her snout and while it makes her a touch uncomfortable at times, her progress is clear—she’s tolerating it better with each outing, shaking it off and getting right back to work. Appetite remains strong, hydration on point, and her energy is pure joy.
Roxy’s turning heads and stealing hearts at Victoria Gardens, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come. More adventures ahead—this gem just keeps shining brighter!

Bass Pro Shop was today’s playground, and Roxy turned the aisles into her personal training arena. We zeroed in on stretching her positions and distance—long place on the boat-display deck while shoppers circled, down-stays between the fishing rods as carts rattled past, and heel work that snaked 30+ feet through the camping gear maze.
She held rock-steady, even with the scent of jerky in the air and taxidermy staring her down. The Leader around her snout is still a minor annoyance, but she’s shrugging it off faster each rep, focusing like it’s not even there.
This girl is adapting, advancing, and absolutely owning the big-box chaos. More leash, more space, more proof she’s built for anywhere!
Stay tuned for more of Roxy’s wonderful progress!
