Luna and I spent the day getting to know each other. We went to a local park to work on our first lesson and get familiar with each other. She was a little hesitant at first but warmed up to me quickly! We introduced her ‘heel’ command and her ‘come’ command. We worked on some of the commands she was familiar with such as her ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and she did great. There was an off leash dog that came a little too close to us at the park but Luna did a great job at not barking at the dog. She was really interested but didn’t make an effort to pull me over to the dog. She warmed up to the e-collar quickly and responded to it really well. Once we got home, Luna and I worked on getting her familiar with the kennel since she was having a bit of trouble during pick up about getting in and out. After a couple of reps of her jumping in and out she settled into her kennel nicely. She did bark a couple of times but was silent the rest of the night. She went potty like normal and ate all of her food! She is such a good girl.

Luna went to Wilderness Park today to work on her ‘heel’ and ‘come to sit’. She was a bit distracted especially since other trainers were there with their pups as well. She wanted to run up to them a couple of times. After working her through it she did a lot better. She did great with her commands and is picking up on everything quickly! She almost barked at a passing dog but I was able to catch it before she actually did it. She is being such a good girl and ate all of her breakfast and dinner.

Luna and I worked around my neighborhood and home today! We worked on her ‘heel’ especially around distractions such as the neighborhood cats. She would fixate on them and stop walking completely. We also worked on her staying close to me. At times she wants to walk ahead or lags behind a bit. She is getting a lot better at her ‘come to sit’ command but still needs a little extra push to get her in the right position. Luna also worked on her ‘place’ command at a local park where she was able to jump on objects with different surface textures. She didn’t really like jumping on the benches with the small holes on them. She would hesitate a bit but would eventually make her way up. Luna is being a good girl over all and ate all of her breakfast and dinner. She did destroy a toy she loved playing with but had a great time running around my back yard playing with a different toy!

Luna and I went to Home Depot to work on all of her commands. She is getting a lot better at her ‘heel’ and working around other dogs. She still gets a bit excited but doesn’t make the effort to walk up to other people or dogs. She practiced her ‘place’ command in a bunch of different object sizes such as bins and buckets. She is slowly becoming more confident and is eating all of her breakfast and dinner.

Luna and I went to a local park today to work on all of her commands. We were able to ‘heel’ with a loose leash. She did get a bit distracted by passing people so she would try and walk ahead of me. She had a lot of trouble with ‘place’ today and would not want to jump up on any surface that was slippery. After a couple of tries she was finally able to get on the slide. She is such a good girl and is improving a lot. She ate all of her breakfast and dinner.

Luna and I went to Santa Monica Pier where Luna was able to do all of her commands around distractions! She is getting so much better at her ‘heel’ and was even able to walk with no leash tension today on the pier. Her ‘come to sit’ has been great and she’s really getting the hang of ‘place’! She is a lot more confident now but still gets a bit distracted and curious about passing people. She doesn’t really mind dogs as much and won’t really pay attention to them! Luna is being such a good girl and even had the chance to work on her ‘door manners’ today! She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and enjoyed some free time playing in my backyard!

Luna and I went to Petsmart to work on all of her commands. She was really curious and excited about everything and everyone. It did take her a bit to adjust to all of the smells and sounds but after a couple of minutes she was ready to train. She did such a good job with all of her commands and was really patient while we shopped and walked up and down the aisles. She is getting a lot better with her ‘heel’ and doesn’t need any leash tension. She is able to do all of her commands with no leash guidance and is being such a good girl! She ate all of her breakfast and dinner and enjoyed a treat before bed!

Luna and I worked on all of her commands around my neighborhood today. She was walking with the leash dragging today and was able to do all of her commands. She did get a bit confused when we worked on our ‘come to sit’ and would struggle to come around all the way but after some time she did a great job. She was a little spooked by some cats and was really eager to walk over to them but she did great listening to me. Overall, Luna is being a very good girl and ate all of her breakfast and dinner.

Luna and I worked on all of her commands today at Legg Lake with other trainers and their pups. She is doing really well with all of her commands and doesn’t need any leash guidance to do it. We were able to walk with no leash tension and just had the leash dragging on the floor. I had another trainer handle her and she seems to take the opportunity to bark at other dogs if she can. She doesn’t bark at all when she’s with me, just when she’s working with a new person. Overall, Luna is doing a great job and is being such a good girl!

Luna and I went to El Dorado park where she was able to be completely off leash for the first time! She did amazing and did all of her commands perfectly. She was able to run around the park freely and came to me when called. She is such a good girl and even made a new friend, a frenchie named Char! She has gotten a lot better at distractions but will still stare at passing people hoping for a bit of attention. Luna did have a bit of an upset stomach. She had really runny stool and had an accident in her kennel in the car. She is drinking a lot of water and is feeling a bit better. She did go potty a couple more times before bed but didn’t have any more accidents. She ate half of her breakfast and none of her dinner. This could be due to her upset tummy.

Luna and I explored Downtown Brea today where she was able to work off leash with her buddy Max! She did a great job and was ‘heeling’ really well with me. Her tummy is a lot better but it’s still a bit runny. She did eat half of her breakfast and dinner. She enjoyed some much needed play time with max before she got tired and laid down on the grass. She did bark at some gardeners and they passed by. Overall, she did a great job today.

Luna and I spend the day working on all of her manners at home! She did great and was really excited to spend some time lounging with me! She loved playing with some of the squeaky toys but would try to rip them apart. We also went to a local park to work on her off leash commands. She had a lot of fun running around freely and enjoyed her time training. She ended up taking a nap on my couch before dinner. Overall, she is such a good girl and is learning so much.

Luna worked on all of her commands off leash at Santa Monica Pier today! She did great and is doing such an amazing job. She was able to work on her ‘greeting manners’ but did have to be reminded a couple of times to sit and wait patiently. Overall, Luna is doing so good she does have a bit of crusty nose, the top of her nose got a bit sunburnt from out time out doors yesterday and today at the beach. I’m keeping a close eye on it and even put some ointment on it. Lune ate half of her dinner and dinner today!
