Romo, a Rotteweiler from La Canada went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Two Week Board & Train dog training program. Tyson was trained by dog trainer Chris Louie in Norwalk, CA.
Romo the 6 year old Rottweiler from La Cañada, is ready to tackle OffLeash SoCal’s 2 week board and train. This giant teddy bear is sweet in nature, but can be very protective around strangers. Romo knows some basic obedience, but all commands are out the window when he feels threatened and needs to protect. His ultimate goal is to be able to walk side by side with his brother Thor. I am excited to help Romo gain so manners.

Day 2 of training and Romo is already getting along great with Chief my Mastiff and Waffle my Rottweiler. I’m happy with his progress in the short amount of time. He is eating and drinking plenty of water.

Romo got a bath today, and he loved it. Romo is almost 1 week into his training and he already knows all of his commands, this next week we will be working on duration and distractions.

Today Romo worked on his socialization with the other dogs. He is a big boy and likes to play hard, but it’s important that he knows to play nice. We got to hangout in the shade and beat the heat.

Romo is loving his training. We walk around the neighborhood twice a day, going by every house with a dog so we can work on his reactivity. Now that Romo knows his commands and we have a mutual trust for each other, we will be working off leash and getting him ready to go home.
