This beautiful Belgian Malinois is an absolute sweetheart!
she’s come to us for a three week board and train built to teach her obedience as well as improve her reactive behavior.
There’s a lot of hard work ahead for Princess. We know she will rise to the challenge.

Princess | Belgian Malinois | Pupdate 12/8/2025
Today was all about assessing Princess’s baseline regarding her meeting. We gave her a wide birth, so it’s not to make her uncomfortable from the start. We started her E collar training, as you can see in the video. We are teaching her to release the pressure by coming towards the command and the leash direction.
Princess is very smart! She’s also a bit nervy and unsure, so we will make this as positive and experience for her as possible, sprinkling in as much fun as we can along the way!

Welcome back to Princess’s training journey!
The little girl is doing a wonderful job, settling in and following commands.
She’s definitely a spirited pup!
We are slowly working in more distractions with socialization while we practice commands. For a dog that’s a bit nervy such as Princess, we want to push her into uncomfortable situations as much as possible. This is not to traumatize her, this is to empower her.
You can see that she is already picking up the heel, and even doing pretty well with the recall.

This sweet puppy is doing very well!
She is enjoying her playtime; although, she is still very nervous in public places.
In addition to teaching her, the proper commands and obedience, we are working to desensitize her emotional state while out in public and around large crowds or loud noises.
We are confident that over the coming weeks princess will make leaps and bounds with her training progress.
She is very smart and eager to learn!

Princess is improving by leaps and bounds!
Even though she is still uncomfortable and nervous in new areas outside of the home, she is quickly settling in and learning that just because something is not what she is used to, that does not make it bad or dangerous.
Princess is coming along quite well with her command commands, and overall obedience. We anticipate this little girl will go far!
Today was more desensitization and socialization work, coupled with obedience training with positions and commands.

Look at this little girl go!
Her heeling is getting better and better while Princess is stressing less and less in uncomfortable and busy environments.
Socialization is key for her; demonstrating that, even if she’s a bit nervous, if she looks to her handler for direction, she’ll be alright.
We snapped a couple of Christmas photos with Princess during one of her daily training sessions.
She’s such a sweet girl!

Would you have believed a week ago that this girl was capable of behaving so well in such a busy environment? We were surrounded by loud kids, barking dogs, and all kinds of movement. Even so, Princess held her own!
She is coming along nicely in her obedience and overall demeanor. It’s been a joy watching her come out of her shell the last several days.
We know she can keep climbing and we will help her up!

Princess is showing her personality now. She’s a sweetheart with the drive of a mustang!
We are channeling that energy into something positive; showing her that life on her handler’s terms is much simpler.
Since we are in the midst of the holiday season, we thought these photos of Princess illustrate just how comfortable she has become with us, as well as her smile and the happiness it entails.

Each and every day Princess is showing significant improvement.
One of the major concerns her owner had was that she’s just too wild.
Teaching and reinforcing command, such as an extended town or place, forces the pup to self soothe in stressful moments. This is the best socialization that you can give a dog.
Especially with princess being a bit nervous to begin with, we want to give her as much desensitization as possible, during her training journey.
Today we got out and about, and did our training around many other dogs, although we kept a safe distance.
We can’t wait to see how much further this girl can go!

Another day, another adventure with Princess!
This little Malinois has come a long way in a very short time.
Very soon, she will be at the point where her owners can take her anywhere in public without worrying whether or not she will behave. This is the goal with all of the dogs we train!
You will notice that Princess is moving through commands at a high rate of speed. This is channeling her inner drive into something productive rather than something destructive(chewing, biting, jumping, etc).

Sometimes in training it’s necessary o push the pups into uncomfortable situations so that they grow and become more confident.
Having Princess place in an uneven stack of soil bags is an example of this.
We moved through positions at high speed to keep her mind guessing!

As we begin going into Princesses’s final week of training with us, we are pushing her hard harder than ever.
She is having at least five sessions per day, and you can see how much we are asking of her based on the pictures above.
This was shot just after her final training session of the day.
Even though this is a challenge, Princess is up for it!

Here we are back again with Princess, our favorite Belgian Malinois!
In 9 days exactly, Princess will be returning home. She’s already out in a ton of work, but we won’t slow down.
We are increasing her daily number of training sessions to insure she is as perfect as possible for her family.
Princess has demonstrated time and time again that she knows the commands. Now, we tighten the commands up so we can continue to improve.

Princess | Belgian Malinois | Pupdate 12/22/2025 Princess had a solid day with a good balance of structure and downtime. She stayed engaged during her work and settled well in between, showing a calm and positive mindset throughout the day. This kind of consistency helps reinforce good habits, emotional stability, and a strong working relationship. Princess did well overall, and we wrapped things up on a calm, positive note.

Princess is doing fantastic and continues to make steady progress in her training. She’s showing strong focus, confidence, and a real understanding of the commands and expectations we’re working on. Each session, she’s becoming more consistent and reliable, responding quickly and thoughtfully to guidance.
We’re continuing to fine-tune the details, reinforcing good habits, and building her confidence so that she can perform calmly and accurately in any situation. She’s showing great enthusiasm for learning while maintaining her sweet, affectionate personality, which makes training a joy.
Princess is right on track, and we’re excited to be filming her final video in the next day or so — it’s going to be a great showcase of all the progress she’s made!

Princess has been absolutely sleighing it this Christmas season ✨. While visions of sugarplums dance in everyone else’s heads, she’s been focused, polished, and ready to show off everything she’s learned. Her commands are looking clean, her confidence is shining bright, and she’s carrying herself like the true Christmas queen she is 👑. We’ll be filming her final video very soon, and it’s safe to say she’s wrapping up her training like the best gift under the tree. Calm, capable, and full of holiday sparkle—Princess is pure Christmas magic.

Even the day after Christmas couldn’t slow Princess down! With rain pouring outside, she swapped snowy walks for indoor adventures and spent some quality time practicing her skills right inside Home Depot. From mastering her commands to exploring new spaces, Princess stayed focused, curious, and playful despite the wet weather. Her energy never waned, and her enthusiasm for learning was as bright as holiday lights. Every “sit,” “stay,” and “come” was met with her signature determination, making today a productive, fun, and safe training day. Princess is ready for whatever the new year brings — rain or shine!

Princess soaked up her final full day like a pro. Today was all about consistency, polish, and enjoying the rhythm she’s settled into. We spent time moving through different environments, mixing activity with calm moments so she could stay balanced and confident. She carried herself with that steady, thoughtful demeanor she’s known for, taking everything in stride. As we wrap up her last day, she’s relaxed, composed, and ready to head home tomorrow—ending her stay on a strong, smooth note.
