Meet Poppy! A 6 month old Terrier Mix from Long Beach California! She is here because she is easily distracted, jumps a lot, and needs to learn basic obedience. But she is very smart, loving, and super cute! Poppy is here for our 2 week board and train program! Stay tuned for Poppy’s 14 day transformation!

Today Poppy and I trained at my house! We introduced her heel and recall today! Poppy did such a good job! She is still learning these commands but she is definitely catching on to what is being asked! Poppy has been such a good girl and she has been so much fun! She is adjusting well to her temporary home! I’m so excited to see her progress!

Today Poppy and I went to Motor Avenue park! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands today but we did focus on her recall and heel! In this video I did ask Poppy to sit but she did get up a few times. What I did was make sure to put Poppy back into a sit and have her complete the command until she was released! Poppy did such a good job today!

Today Poppy and I went to the Valencia mall! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her recall and her extended sit! I was also able to get some distance away from Poppy while she was in her sit! Poppy did such a good job today! She is catching on to what is being ask and she is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to the Grove! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands today but we did focus on her extended place and extended down! In this video Poppy did need a little running head start to get on a place since she is so small! Also Poppy did get scared when the cart passed by her as she was in a down. Poppy did get up so what I did was put Poppy back into a down until she was released. Poppy did such a good job today!

Today Poppy and I went to the skatepark! I went here because I wanted her to hear the noise of the skateboards! Poppy did great! At times she did get up from a command but we worked her through it! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her extended down and place! Poppy has been such a good girl!

Today Poppy and I went to Hollywood walk of fame! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her heel and her extended down! I also worked on Poppy’s heel going up and down the stairs and she did great! At the end Poppy was trying to scratch at her prong collar so I just corrected her with the off command so she wouldn’t scratch! Poppy did such a good job today!

Today Poppy and I went to the Valencia mall! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her extended down and heel! Poppy still does get distracted with her surroundings but we are working her through it. Poppy has been such a good girl and she is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to the Valencia mall! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands today but we did focus on her heel and extended down! While heeling Poppy in this video I did have to correct her a few times at the beginning but after she understood what was being asked! Poppy still gets very excited when seeing people out in public but each day we take it out it is getting more manageable! Poppy has been such a good girl and she is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to Hobby Lobby! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her extended down and place! Every time someone walks by Poppy she does get super excited and starts to wag her tail but she does stay in command for the most part which is great! Poppy did such a good job today in the store! Poppy is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to the park! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we focused on her extended down today! Poppy got to work with another trainer at the park today and she did great! In this video we had dogs go around Poppy. Poppy does get distracted when dogs are around or people so we corrected Poppy every time she got out of command! Poppy did great today and each day we train she is resisting the temptation to go to each person or dog! Poppy also got to work with multiple pups today and she had so much fun!

Today Poppy and I went to La Brea Tar Pits! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her heel and extended place! Poppy also got to work with her pal Echo! She is getting better at staying in command when around distractions. Poppy is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to the Glendale Galleria! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we focus on her extended down and place! Poppy still does get distracted out in public but she is improving each day and she is able to stay in command! Poppy has been such a good girl! Poppy is also doing well with her potty training!

Today Poppy and I went to the mall. We worked on all of her commands but we focus on her extended sit and down! We also worked on her manners! Poppy did such a good job with her door manners. She understands that she can not come out until being asked! Poppy has been such a good girl and she is improving each day we train!

Today Poppy and I went to the Santa Monica Promenade! Poppy and I worked on all of her commands but we did focus on her heel and recall! Poppy also got to train with her puppy pal Echo! Poppy did such a good job heeling with another pup and focusing on what is being asked! Poppy has been such a good girl!
