Welcome Peanut! This little guy is with us for our 3-week Puppy Biard and Train Program. We will teach Peanut some obedience, potty training, and other habits he will need to reach his full potential. Peanut is a very confident puppy; happy to explore on his own. We will channel this drive over the next three weeks and shape Peanut into a well-behaved good citizen.

Check out Peanut! He is learning how to respond to pressure and follow direction. Here, you can see him holding an extended sit while his handler moves around him; this is only day one! We can’t wait to see just how far we can take Peanut on his road to becoming the best pup that he can be!

Even though Peanut is new with us, he’s already making tremendous progress!

Here, you can see Peanut learning how to relieve leash pressure as well as an extended sit. This position in particular is very important as all of our pups manners stem from this command.

Peanut’s stool has been much better since adding the pumpkin puree to his diet and we will continue to give it to him.

In regards to his potty training, after introducing Peanut to the crate and acclimating him to it, he has yet to have an accident inside the house. He wakes up roughly every three hours and needs to be taken outside to potty. This timeframe will continue to increase as he grows older.

Welcome back to Peanut’s blog! We are so proud with the progress this little guy has made in a few short days. As you can see, we really ramped up the distraction levels today by working at Bass Pro.

Although we had a few hiccups, Peanut did a wonderful job. Here, you will notice where Peanut’s attention is; specifically, how well he is engaged with his handler. This can be very difficult with younger dogs so the fact that Peanut already has a good handle on this aspect is amazing.

Peanut’s appetite has not slowed down a bit. He’s also taking in plenty of water. His stool rotates between normal and loose so we are still mixing pumpkin puree in with his food.

Overall, this little pup is knocking it out of the park!

Welcome back to Peanut’s blog! This little superstar continues to shine with his infectious enthusiasm. Everyday, we focused on making training sessions fun and positive, and Peanut is absolutely thriving in this environment. We work in busy places to keep the energy high and engaging.

Peanut’s engagement with his handler is stellar, even with all the exciting distractions around. He’s responding so well to commands, and his playful spirit makes every moment a joy. We have a blast incorporating games into his training to keep that tail wagging!

His appetite remains strong, and he’s drinking plenty of water. His stool is mostly normal, with occasional loose moments, so we’re continuing the pumpkin puree mix to keep things balanced.

Peanut is truly a delight, and we can’t wait to see how much more he grows with this positive approach!

Peanut had a fantastic day working in downtown Riverside! He bounced through the busy streets with endless energy, his fluffy tail practically a blur as he took in all the action. Unlike his usual romps, Peanut found a new obsession—a quirky street vendor’s cart with a jingling bell that had him prancing in circles, much to the delight of passersby. He worked the crowd like a pro, earning extra scratches and even a sneaky treat from a kind barista. Peanut’s loving every second of his Riverside adventure, bringing his own brand of joy to the city!

Peanut had some awesome training sessions today, absolutely crushing his Place and Down commands with impressive focus and enthusiasm. This sharp little guy showed up ready to work, and his engagement was top-notch. When given the Place command, Peanut went on his mat and settled in promptly, holding his position like a seasoned pro. His Down was just as solid, staying put with those alert eyes locked on his handler, tail giving a steady wag as he waited for the next instruction.

Training sessions like these aren’t just about following commands. For Peanut, they’re a mental workout that keeps his brain engaged, builds his confidence, and reinforces his trust in his family. The Place command helps him learn impulse control and creates a calm space he can rely on, while Down strengthens his ability to stay focused even when distractions are calling. His high engagement today—never breaking eye contact and practically vibrating with eagerness—shows how much he loves the challenge. It’s clear Peanut’s not just learning; he’s thriving in these moments. Awesome work, Peanut—keep ruling those commands, and we’re excited to see what you tackle next!

Peanut was a star in his training sessions today! Across multiple sessions, we focused on extended sits and downs in a high-distraction area, and he showed remarkable focus and enthusiasm each time. Peanut stayed happy and engaged, clearly loving his time with us as he tackled the challenges with confidence. He consistently responded well to commands, holding his sits and downs despite the distractions. His appetite and hydration are strong, keeping him energized for every session. We’re thrilled with Peanut’s progress and his joyful attitude throughout the day!

Peanut’s training journey is progressing very well. You can see the added layer of distraction when working in a place like Home Depot. We couldn’t ask for better engagement, especially from a puppy his age. This video gives an insight into the daily training sessions we engage in and the behind-the-scenes look at what it actually takes to build these behaviors. Luckily, Peanut has developed a great base of obedience; otherwise, it would be very difficult for him to have done what he did here! Stay tuned for more of Peanut’s adventures!

Welcome to Claremont Village! Peanut got all the compliments today as we trained in a very tough high-distraction environment. This is difficult for any dog, much less a puppy as young as Peanut; however, the little guy did very well!

It’s important that we continually ramp-up the distraction levels so that Peanut is able to adapt to any environment. Everything is moving along swimmingly!

Check out Peanut! We’ve been practicing food refusal as well as all of our other commands, preparing to take Peanut into his final week of training. Here, you can see Peanut demonstrating the things we’ve been practicing. We still have our work cut out for us but Peanut makes it easier with his cuteness and charm!

In a moderately distracting environment, peanut is focused and calm. Such a good boy!

Here we go again with Mr. Peanut! We are focusing on the application of pressure and the ways to turn it off. Here, you can see Peanut figuring things out as we move along.

The potty training is all but complete. There are still ways Peanut can grow in these behaviors and we will

continue to teach him.

This little guy is growing in leaps and bounds! He’s gained a bit of weight, settled into the program, and is giving us all the effort he can muster!

Stay tuned!

He’s coming along! Look how much better Peanut is following than leash!

Everyone at Bass Pro Shops was so impressed with how high this little guy was willing to jump in order to earn his treat.

Those boulders are three-times taller than Peanut! He showed no fear as he traversed each rock with a quick hop and a tail-wag.

The progress Peanut has been showing is stupendous. We expect many more great things from this pup!

Walking on the leash in Heel position? No problem for this little guy!

The most rewarding moments of dog training come after many hours of hard work and trusting the process. In moments like this where we see the results, we can’t help but be grateful.

As we go into Peanut’s final week of training, we will be tying everything by together!

ree

Peanut | Cavalier King Charles | Pupdate 10/16/2025

Each day, Peanut takes more and more steps in the right direction. Even with the distraction of cars buzzing around us, at a spot in Downtown Upland likely to have the scent of thousands of people lingering, Peanut delivers!

With consistent praise, he’s learned how to nail the Heel, Place, Down and Sit. There’s much more to come in Peanut’s training journey so stay tuned!

Peanut loves the leash! It took a lot of work and patience but Peanut has now grown to a point that the mere sight of the leash excites him.

This guy has stepped up to every challenge thrown at him and we couldn’t be prouder!

We have less than a week to go with Peanut in training! Let’s make the most of it!

ree

Peanut | Cavalier King Charles | Pupdate 10/18/2025

Practicing our manners is a very important step in Peanut’s training regimen.

Particularly with Door Manners, we are building a behavior that will help keep Peanut safe as he gets older.

This is somewhat new to Peanut but he’s already taken to it like a seasoned pro.

We are getting ready to bring all of Peanut’s training together for the culmination of all of his skills to come to fruition.

Stay tuned!

Only a few more days remaining in Peanut’s board and train program. We are sad to see him go so soon; however, we know that the skills he has learned will serve both he and his owner for the rest of their time together.

We will be filming Peanut’s final video, showcasing all of his skills, within the next day.

Keep following Peanut’s blog to see how we bring everything together!

We are coming down to the very last days of Peanut’s training journey. This little guy was a bundle of fun to work with! We are excited to re-introduce him to his owners and show them just how much progress Peanut has made.

We will be filming his final video tomorrow, along with all of his manners training. His appetite has been steady and healthy throughout his stay with us and he even gained a little weight!

His potty and crate training are tip top!

We have one more day to go with this little guy, so we will make it count!

Today was Peanuts last day of training. It’s so rewarding seeing all of the hard work we have put in together over the past three weeks has paid off and left us with a pup who understands commands, follows them, and is happy to do so.

Peanut being a spunky little guy, is constantly searching for love and validation in the eyes of his handler. This makes him a very special pup!

We send him home with all of our love and admiration. We will miss you, Peanut. Good luck moving forward!
