Osyris, a Siberian Husky from Anaheim, CA went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Board & Train dog training program. Osyris was trained by dog trainer Amanda Lascari in La Habra Heights, CA

Osyris, a 10 month old Husky, has joined Offleash SoCal for our 3 week board and train program. He becomes overly excited easily and refuses to listen. He has very poor manners with new people and dogs. He loves kids, but wants to jump on them, knocking them down. Osyris enjoys going for walks but will pull and drag his owners. Over the next 3 weeks we will be working on his off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!

Today I introduced and conditioned Osyris to the ecollar. We went to a local park to start his training. We practiced commands come and sit.

we started working on his loose leash heel. its still a work in progres, but he is walking a lot better and not pulling as much. Osyris did a great job on his first day of training!

Osyris having fun with all his buddies. Today we stayed home for training. Osyris practiced come to sit, place, and down. We started working on his duration, holding the commands for longer periods of time. the down command is still a work in progress since it isn’t really his favorite command to do.

Today Osyris and I went to a park to work on commands. We met up with some of the other Offleash SoCal trainers and their dogs to work around distractions. It was a bit hard for him to focus but once he realized he wasn’t going to get to play with everyone, he start listening. He had been doing a lot better in the crate, sleeping throughout the night.

Today Osyris and I went to the park to start working on his off leash commands. After training, he joined me for lunch at my family’s restaurant where he practiced his duration down. He is did a great job today with working off leash!

Osyris practicing his off leash heel. He is doing a great job, I hardly have to hold the leash now. Only when he sees new people or doggie friends that he wants to greet, he tends to stop paying attention.

Today Osyris learned a new command, Under. He did very well and caught on to this command pretty quick. It only took him about 10/15 minutes to understand what I was asking him to do.

Today I took Osyris and his buddies over to my friends house for a play date. Osyris had a crush on his new friend, Blue the pit bull/husky. He played nonstop with her and followed her around wherever she went.
