Oliver | Cavalier King Charles/ French Bulldog | Hermosa Beach, CA
Oliver, a 1 year old Cavalier King Charle/ French Bulldog Mix, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our 2 week board and train program. He a sweet boy who loves people and making new doggie friends. He is joining us to work on his obedience. Oliver knows commands but tends to get easily distracted, overly excited and chooses when he wants to listen. Check in on Oliver’s progress over the next 2 weeks.
Today Oliver was introduced to the e-collar and worked on obedience commands at the park. Since he already knows all commands, we practiced more on staying and holding the commands. After, we went home and had some playtime.
Today we decided to stayed home and kept out of the rain. We practiced commands indoors. Oliver’s buddy, Pippi, is a good distraction. She would try to play with him while he was in a command, and of course Oliver couldn’t help himself and would break the command to go play. So we continued to practice until he tried his very best to ignore his taunting friend, then I let them have some play time.
Today we went out to the park, since it was nice and sunny, and worked on commands. Oliver is doing a great job at staying the commands until I release him. I was also able to drop the leash and Oliver stayed by my side the whole time we walked.
Oliver working on the place command, practicing to be calm and relaxed while in the house. Even Pippi decided to join in with him.
Heel at Lowe’s. Oliver did a great job today! I didn’t even have to hold the leash. I dropped it and let him drag it throughout Lowe’s. He stayed with me the entire time.
Back to Lowe’s again.
Oliver is doing a great job with his off leash obedience. Today we went to the Whittier Greenway Trail to work on commands. After all that practice, Oliver and his buddies cozied up on the couch and watch a movie with me.
Oliver having some fun playing on the playground.
Last day of Doggie bootcamp for Oliver. He has done an awesome job with his training! Today we took the day off from training and just relaxed and had some fun. Oliver wanted to hang out with my while the dogs played and I worked on the computer. Once he had enough rest, he went back to running around with the other dogs. He can't wait to go home to show you all he has learned!
