Muffy, a five year old American Bulldog, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Two Week Board and Train program. Muffy comes to us with lack of following commands, not walking properly on leash, being easily distracted, and a little anxious when out in public. Over the two weeks Muffy will be working on her off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Muffy has settled in well at my home. She is getting acquainted with all her new doggie friends. They were more interested in her than she was with them. All she wanted to was roam around and check out her new surroundings.

Today Muffy and I went to the park to start her training. We practiced Sit and Place.
Sit is a little bit of a struggle since she can’t fully sit all the way down. Muffy caught onto the Place command quickly. She is a smart girl, but can definitely be stubborn when she doesn’t want to listen. She did great for her first day of training. Muffy ripped one of her nails today. I took her to the vet and they wrapped her up and gave her some medicine to take to help with the healing. She is walking just fine with her little boot.

Today Muffy and I went to the park to work on her commands. We practiced more of Place and Sit. We worked on a new command, Heel. Heel is still a work in progress, but much better at my side. Muffy getting better with Sit. Her foot is doing fine. She is taking all her medicine and leaving the wrap on her foot. The vet said I could take the wrap off of her tomorrow.

Today Muffy and I went to Huntington Beach to work on her commands around distractions. It was hard for her to focus with all the distractions around us, but as we walked around she settled down and followed through with the commands I asked of her. We started practicing a new command, Down. She gave me a bit of a struggle. It is not her favorite command to do, but we will keep practicing.

Today Muffy and I went to the park to work on her commands. We practiced Sit, Place, Heel, and Down. I took the bandage wrapped around her paw and her nail is healing just fine.

Today Muffy and I went to the park to work on her commands. She did pretty well. She is getting better with the down command. We need some more work on her duration (holding commands longer). I know her Sit is a bit of a struggle for her, but she is figuring out sitting with her legs out is more comfortable.

Today Muffy and I went to Lowes to work on her commands around distractions. She practiced her commands semi-off leash! I let her drag the leash around while we trained. Muffy and I worked on a new command, Come to Heel. Muffy has some springs in her legs. I didn’t realize she could jump pretty high until today.

Today Muffy and I went to The Citadel Outlet to work on her commands around distractions. Today she worked completely off leash! She did a great job! She was focused and obedient. We need a little more practice with the come to heel, but she just learned that command yesterday.

Today Muffy and I went to the park to work on her off leash obedience. We practiced duration and distance. She did pretty well. We need some more work on her distance. She want to break command and come to me if I get too far away from her.

Today Muffy and I stayed home for training. We practiced all her off leash commands. I used her friends as distractions and let them play while Muffy and I trained. She did very well. She listened and followed all her commands. After our training session, she got to join in on all the fun.

Today Muffy and I went to The Block at Orange to work on her off leash commands around distractions. She was a little overwhelmed when we first got there, but as we walked around she was able to relax and focus on her commands. Muffy received a few compliments on how well behaved she is.

Today Muffy and I went to The Citadel Outlet to work on her off leash obedience. She did very well. She followed all her obedience commands. She had a few admirers stop to watch her train.

Today Muffy took the day off from training. She spent the day socializing and playing with her friends before she goes home tomorrow. She can’t wait to show you everything she has learned!
