Moose was working hard at Home Depot today. We greeted new friend, climbed on stuff, and smelled our way through the garden department. One thing we didn't do was stop working today. Improvement from days previously.

Moose was out for an evening walk in downtown Brea. We worked on all the commands which Moose performed very well. I did attempt to drop the leash at one point and Moose wandered away focusing on a candy wrapper rather than the command of heel. We will continue to work...

So why the picture of the back of the car? It is dry! Moose made it all the way to Hollywood without his normal water works display. I tried a new technique and today it was successful. We will be testing again tomorrow before deciding it to be a success.
We sought a little shade after walking the stars on Hollywood Blvd. Moose was amazing and incredibly patient with all the celebrity seekers wanting to take Moose's picture.
Moose's could have had his name in lights today he was SO popular. No less than a dozen people stopped and wanted pictures with the big fella. If I had known of Moose's potential sardum, I would have signed him to a management contract-lol.

All work and no play makes Moose a dull dog?? The small dog is a 15 pound Maltipoo that has taken a liking to Mr. Moose. They enjoy playing together and actually napped together this afternoon. Moose went out early this evening for more off leash work. He continues to test boundaries and makes sure we are being consistent with our asks and discipline.

Changed things up a bit for this clip. My wife is working Moose. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, move to 2:20 of the video. Yesenia asks him to sit, then down. Moose hasn't been handled by anyone but me for a week. I share because Moose WILL do this with you too. You will need to be patient and willing to hold him accountable for his actions

Moose did a great job holding his down when the Witch was making noise and moving around. Many dogs are startled and run away.
Starbucks run at 0730- already hot!
Moose visited with Boy Scout Troop 97 last night. He practiced recall from high distractions (the scouts), place, duration down. As always, Moose was a huge hit with the people.

So, this is my mom, Jan. Jan is 75 and has the onset of dementia. Her balance is sometimes questionable and she, despite being told numerous times, doesn't get the commands correct.
Jan is off leash heeling around her neighborhood with Moose. I'm so freaking proud of Moose. He was so gentle and kind with my mother. She moves slow and so did Moose. She came up to a curb and told him to heel instead of sit, but Moose still sat. Once he was seated, she told him to sit instead of heel and he still heeled.
With the work that Moose put in yesterday, he definitely earned the afternoon off (so damn hot).
