Milo got introduced to the prong collar today! At first he was a little hesitant about having it on but after going on a walk he seemed to get used to it. He is adjusting really well to his crate, he wines here and there and growls but doesn’t bark or yell. We also introduced the place command. He walked right up to the place cot and sat down! So far he is doing amazing. He also hasn’t had any potty accidents, we’ve been going out every 30 minutes to make sure he doesn’t pee or poop. He also went potty and ate only half of his dinner. That’s normal due to being in a new environment and being under a little stress. Milo is so smart and I can’t wait for you to see his progress.

Milo went to Westfield in Century City today where we met up with another trainer and her pups. Milo did amazing seeing them for the first time, he didn’t bark! He did bark a bit at some people and children but not to the extent when it was constant on unmanageable. Milo learned the ‘down’ command and also the ‘heel’ command. He is doing so well! He did have an accident in his kennel in the car but didn’t have an accident in his kennel at home. He is super sweet and ate more than half of his dinner.

Milo went to Citadel Outlets today where we worked on his heel command and his duration sit and down. He did a good job with both! He stayed in a down for a long time while I had casual conversation and didn’t bother to bark or jump up when people passed by. He did bark at a dog that was passing but over all he did amazing. His heel has gotten a lot better and he doesn’t try to pull too far ahead. He didn’t pee in his kennel in the car and he also didn’t pee in his kennel at night. He did whine a bit but after a while he fell asleep and didn’t cry throughout the night. He didn’t want to go potty outside this morning but after a long training day he finally went potty outside! He got a lot of praise for doing so! He ate more than half of his breakfast and dinner, he just left a couple of kibble pieces behind. Overall he’s a good boy.

Today Milo went to Rynerson Park to work on all of his commands around dog distractions. He did bark a couple of times but he slowly got the hang of not barking. He also practiced place on smaller objects he was a little uncomfortable placing on objects such as a small brick or a wobbly box. He did such a good job and that built his confidence a little more. He did bark today at some spooky Halloween decorations but I worked him through it and he heeled while grumbling. Milo is such a good boy. He ate all of his breakfast and dinner! Whenever he has a couple of kibble pieces left we play the puppy push up game where he sits and then downs over and over. He loves playing that ‘game’ and he eats the rest of his kibble.
