Today was max’s first session and it went really well! This was my first opportunity to work with him so I really made an effort to earn his trust. We did a lot of exploring the park together as well as introducing him to the Come to sit, Extended sit, and Heel commands. He did really well for his first session and I’m excited to see his progress throughout the program!

One of max’s sessions focused on Door manners. It is important for him to understand the importance of Door manners and how rushing out the front door could be a major safety risk. During this session, I had him at an Extended sit working on his impulse control, focus, and obedience. He did very well staying in command. Another great day of training!

Each command was done near areas where soccer and baseball practice were taking place. There were many distractions, but max did really well staying engaged and focused on the training. Max was easily distracted and wanted to chase squirrels at times. We used that as a training opportunity to help him understand that he cannot leave his handlers side without approval. Nonetheless less, he did well and continues to improve daily! Another great day of training!
