Luna | Cocker Spaniel | Simi Valley, CA | In-Training
Luna, a four month old Cocker Spaniel, has joined OffLeash Socal for our Three Week Puppy Board and Train program. Luna comes to us with typical puppy behavior: little knowledge of commands, being easily distracted, not walking properly on leash, and play biting. Over the three weeks she will be working on her on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Luna has settled in well at my home. She is getting along great with the rest of the dogs. She has been running around and playing nonstop since she had been here.

Pupdate 8/30/2022
Today Luna and I went to the park to work on her obedience. We practiced commands Sit and Place. She is a smart girl and caught on to her new command quickly. She had one potty accident in the house.

Today Luna and I stayed home to train and stay cool from the heat. We practiced more of the Sit and Place commands. We worked on a new command, Down. She picked up on this command pretty fast. Luna is doing awesome with her training! No potty accidents today.

Pupdate 9/1/2022
Today Luna and I went to the park to work on her commands. We practiced two new commands: Come to Sit and Heel. She did very well with Come to Sit. Heel is still a work in progress, Luna gets distracted and tries to wander away from me, but we will keep practicing. No potty accidents today.

Today Luna and I worked on her obedience commands around the neighborhood. We started working on her duration (holding commands longer). I introduced and conditioned her to the prong collar. We worked more on her Heel command, which she is starting to get the hang of now. No potty accidents today.

Today was too hot to go outside, so Luna and I trained at home. We worked on all her commands. We worked a lot on her place command and duration.

Today Luna and her friend, Socks, joined me on a shopping spree at the mall. Luna got to practice her obedience around a lot of people distractions. She was definitely distracted when we first arrived. She wanted to go up and say hi to every person we walked by. As we walked around, Luna settled down and was able to focus on her commands.

Pupdate 9/5/2022
Today Luna and I went to the park to work on her obedience commands. I taught her a new command, Come to Heel. She did pretty well and caught on quickly. She saw two mini horses for the first time. Luna thought they were big dogs and wanted to play with them. No potty accidents today.

Another hot day, so Luna and I went to Lowes to train indoors and work around distractions. Luna did very well. She was focused and obedient. She did get a little frightened by some loud noises, but still followed her commands. She had one potty accident inside of Lowes.

Today Luna and I went to the park to work on her commands around distractions. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Luna had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. She was excited at first and wanted to say hi to all the other dogs, but it I made sure she followed through with all her commands. Once she settled down, Luna was able to focus and follow all her commands.

Today Luna and I went to Huntington Beach to work on her commands around distractions. She did a pretty good job. She was a little nervous at first, but as we walked around she was able to settle down and focus on her commands.

Today Luna and her friend, Socks, went to the the Citadel Outlet to work on their obedience around distractions. Luna did a very good job. She was focused and obedient. She ahead a few admirers stop and watch while we trained. Luna received a compliments

Today Luna and I stayed home and worked on her obedience commands. We also worked on her food manners and door manners. No potty accidents today.

Today Luna and her friend, Zola, joined me on a shopping spree at The Block at Orange. It was pretty busy, so Luna had plenty of distractions to work around. She did a great job! She was focused and obedient.

Today Luna and I went to the Cerritos Mall to work indoors and around distractions. We met with another Offleash Socal trainer and his dog, so Luna was able to work around dog distractions. She did very well. She was focused and obedient.

Today Luna and I went to the park to work on her commands. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Luna had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. Once we got home she got a bath and played with her friends before they go home tomorrow.
