Lucy, a Goldendoodle, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our two week board and train program. Lucy is a very sweet girl and docile girl who comes to us with lack of following commands, being easily distracted, barking, and not properly walking on the leash. Over the next two weeks Lucy will be working on her off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Today I introduced and conditioned Lucy to the ecollar. We practiced commands come to sit, down and place. Place is the command where Lucy has to sit or lay on an object. This is great for building confidence as well as teaching her to be relaxed and calm. She did very well with her commands, we just need to work on her staying put. Lucy is having so much fun playing with her friends.

Today Lucy and I went to the park to work on her obedience commands. We practiced come to sit, come to down, and place. We started working on her loose leash heel. Still a work in progress, but she is walking a lot better, not pulling as much.

Today Lucy and I went to the park to work on all her commands. Lucy practiced place on a lot of different objects. We are starting to work on her duration and distance with commands. She was able to heel by my side without me holding the leash. We are close to being off leash!

Sorry for the delay in post. I was having issues uploading to the app. Lucy and her buddy, Frank, went with me to the The Block at Orange so they could work on their obedience around high distractions. Lucy was a little bit nervous with all the commotion going on around us, but she still was able to follow commands. She became more relaxed once we walked around.

Today Lucy and I went to Lowe's to work on her commands. She practically was off leash. She followed all the commands I asked of her and heeled through the entire store without me holding onto the leash!

Lucy fully off leash! Today we went back to the Block at Orange to work on her obedience commands. She did an awesome job!

Today Lucy and I met up with some other Offleash SoCal trainers at the park. Lucy worked on her off leash commands around dog distractions. The dogs didn't even phase her, she acted like they weren't even there while she was following all my commands. She is doing such an awesome job!
