Louie is a charming young man who just joined our two week program! Louie needs some help with leash manners, and he likes to chase bikes.

We practiced come, sit, down and heel. Hes very stubborn about down, and likes to jump up excitedly, but we're working on it. Overall, it's been a good day. We woke up early for a walk, he ate all of his breakfast, and his dinner too.

We wrapped up our Thursday evening with a big dinner, and one of his bones. Today we worked on down & place. He didn't like the place cot very much at first, and hesitated to get on it. After a few minutes he started getting the hang of it and we added a couple distractions (a squeaky toy). He did well on both of our walks today, even when we walked past a neighborhood cat. Tomorrow we're hitting the Home Depot!

Today Louie and I worked on our heel with a dropped leash, place, and door manners. Our day was pretty relaxed, he ate a big breakfast, and we played fetch after training. I miscalculated a throw with the Chuck it and threw the ball on the roof -oops-, so I went to PetSmart to get a new ball.
Practicing place! He has a hard time with this one off leash, so we've been practicing it a little extra.

We've been practicing waiting patiently to be released to eat everyday, but today I wanted to challenge him a little.
We also practiced sit, and down with a friend throwing a toy nearby. He struggled for a little bit, but eventually got to the point where I could throw a toy next to him and he'd stay.

We went to a local shopping center today to practice our off leash skills. Louie has a hard time holding commands, so we've been practicing with longer durations.
