Hazel, a 1 year old English Bulldog, has joined Offleash Socal for our 1 week board and train program. Hazel is a sweet girl who loves getting attention. Some of her bad habits are: pulling on the leash, going after other dogs, and jumping up to greet people. Over the week Hazel will be working on her on leash obedience, manners, and dog socialization. Check in to see her progress!

Today I introduced and conditioned Hazel to the ecollar. Wit was a little too hot today so we relaxed during the heat and started up training when it cooled down. We practiced commands come and sit. She is doing great with the other dogs. The only time she nipped at them was during feeding time this morning. All the dogs were standing around me while I was preparing their food. She got a little mad and snapped at them. I corrected her and had her stand back and wait last to get her food to teach her not to be possessive over it. But other than that, she plays and hangs out with all of them just fine.

Today Hazel and I went to the park to work on commands. We practiced more of come to sit. we started working on the loose leash heel. It’s still a work in progress, but she is walking by my side and barely pulling. She saw other dogs at the park and she didn’t react to them. She just sat and would watch them walk by.

Today I Hazel and I went to the Block at Orange to work on commands with distractions. She did a great job walking through the crowds and walking through the stores. She saw other dogs and didn’t react to them.
