Ginger and I spent the day getting to know each other. She was really nervous after I took her out of the kennel and seemed a bit overwhelmedĀ when we got to my home. I let her explore the backyard and she really started to come out of her shell. We had our first lesson today and worked on her 'heel' since she does pull heavily on leash. We also introduced Ginger to the e-collar and she was able to get the hang of it quickly. Ginger settled nicelyĀ in her kennel and ate all of her dinner. She has a couple treats before bed. Overall, she did great on her first day!

Ginger and I spent some time working on her ā€˜heelā€™ today. She tends to still pull heavily on leash and is finding it hard to turn with me. She will at times stop and refuse to move as we turn until I lead her with the leash in my direction. There was quite a bit of people in my neighborhood today so Ginger was finding it really hard to ā€˜heelā€™ and stay focused. We also worked on her ā€˜come to sitā€™ command and she is picking that command up quickly. We are working on her sit command since she will refuse to sit at times unless I ask her multiple times. Overall, Ginger is being a good girl and is being amazing in the kennel.Ā

Ginger and I worked on her ā€˜heelā€™ and ā€˜come to sitā€™ at Cheviot Hills Park where she was able to work around distractions. There were a lot of dogs there so she was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning but was able to get the hang of everything. Ginger did bark at a couple of neighborhood cats today and tried to pull towards them. Ginger also has an upset tummy so she has runny stool. I went ahead and added pumpkin purĆ©e to help sooth her tummy. She also woke up with really gunky eyes this morning. She didnā€™t have this yesterday so I made sure to clean her eyes today. Overall, Ginger is being a sweet girl.Ā

Ginger and I worked on her commands at home since she was still having an upset tummy. We worked on her ā€˜heelā€™ and ā€˜downā€™ command today. She is struggling a bit with her down but was getting the hang of it by the end of our session. Ginger Ā is struggling with the place command and is still struggling to jump in my car. Once we get up to a ā€˜placeā€™ she plants herself on the ground and will refuse to move. Ginger ate all of her breakfast and dinner and had pumpkin purĆ©e with her meals. Overall, she is being a hood girl!Ā

Ginger and I went to Petsmart today to work on all of her commands. She is doing so well with her ā€˜downā€™ command and her ā€˜placeā€™ command. She was even able to jump in my car today! Ginger has improved so much but still struggles with her ā€˜heelā€™. There are a couple of times when sheā€™ll try pull me or walk ahead of me so weā€™re trying to work on it. Gingerā€™s tummy is feeling a lot better today! Her stool is still a little bit watery but not as watery as before. Iā€™m still adding pumpkin purĆ©e to her kibble.Ā

Ginger and I worked on all of her commands today at a local park. She is getting a lot better and is becoming more confident when working in ā€˜placeā€™. She did struggle a bit going up and down some stairs but after working on them for a couple of minutes she was able to get the hang of it. Ginger is being such a good girl and her stool is doing a lot better! She is drinking plenty of water and enjoyed some play time before bed today!Ā

Ginger and I spent the day working on all of her commands. She is getting better working with no leash pressure while we heel. There are a couple of times when sheā€™ll eat a bit too excited and walk ahead of me. She is doing so much better with her down but still struggles holding it for long periods of time. Ginger had a hard time with door manners today and would want to run out any chance she got. After a couple of minutes of practicing she was able to get the hang of it! She is being such a good girl!Ā

Ginger and I worked on all of her commands today around other trainers and their pups. Ginger is doing a lot better being around other dogs and doesnā€™t try to bark or walk up to them. She is doing amazing with her heel and was able to walk with the leash dragging today! She still needs more work on her durations. She tends to get up when sheā€™s in a down and people pass by her or other dogs. Overall, Ginger is doing great!Ā

Ginger and I went to Home Depot where we worked on all of her commands. She is doing a lot better with her down and her place but needs work on her durations. She did have a tough time working with the leash dragging since she would take any opportunity she could to run off. She was a little overwhelmed at Home Depot so we spent time working on her leash dragging heel at home. She did try to get away from me again in front of my home a handful of times. When ginger knows she has an opportunity she will take it. We worked really hard on the positioning of her come to sit today and was able to get it by the end of our session. She is also doing a lot better with her down. I went ahead and added a bit of her canned food today since she seemed to be doing a lot better with her tummy. Iā€™m adding a small amount to her kibble.Ā

Ginger and I went to Loweā€™s to work on all of her commands around distractions. She did great with the people and shopping carts but still did try to wander off. Ginger does all of her commands really well and stayed by me the whole time we heeled around the store. I did notice she decided to run off when she feels overwhelmed or sees something she is more interested in. Weā€™re still working on her durations but she was able to hold it longer than 2 minutes today! Overall, she is such a good girl. She was in a really playful mood today so she wanted to play while we were at Loweā€™s!Ā

Ginger and I went to Citadel Outlets today where she did such a great job. She struggles going off leash Ā since at times she can be a bit unpredictable when it comes to her wandering off. We instead went to Petsmart to work on all of her commands with a very loose leash. It seems she only wanders off or will get up from her commands when she feels uncomfortable or there are too many people. She did great and was able to hold all of her commands including her down. Ginger enjoyed some play time before bed!Ā

Ginger and I went to Century City mall where we worked on all of her commands with a very loose leash! She did such a great job but was a little overwhelmed at the amount of people. She did try to wander off to sniff a fountain while she was in a down and did try to run off towards some Christmas trees. We did work her off leash for a very short period of time but she seemed to take any opportunity to wander away. Overall, she did great!Ā
