Welcome back to one of our favorite regulars! Miss Foxy is back and we couldn’t be more excited!

She will be boarding with us over the next ten days.

We will focus on her basic obedience and make sure she’s staying up to par.

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/15/2025

The rain refused to relent, but Foxy—our sweet boarding guest —didn’t train indoors today.

Instead, she insisted on the real thing: paws on wet pavement, nose to the wind, eyes gleaming under the storm. 

We ran a full, joyful session outside—commands flowing through sheets of rain, her focus sharp and playful, body loose despite the chill. 

She heeled through puddles, held positions on slick concrete, recalled past dripping raindrops with a grin. No hesitation, no shiver of doubt—just pure engagement, as if the water-soaked backyard was her playground. Short coat soaked, spirit soaring. 

She’s here for boarding, but she’s reminding us what a working heart looks like.

She’s been away for a few weeks and her owner mentioned that she might need a little bit of help getting back up to speed. 

As you can see from the video, we are seeing some issues that foxy did not exhibit before, and that’s perfectly fine!

We will take a few steps back in Foxy’s training regimen, adding the leash pressure and using that simultaneously with the E collar in order to get Foxy back in great shape!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/16/2025

Today’s focus was gaining a better understanding of where Foxy is at with her obedience. We gave her a little bit of time to settle back into our home before really testing her limits.

She’s been away for a few weeks and her owner mentioned that she might need a little bit of help getting back up to speed.

As you can see from the video, we are seeing some issues that foxy did not exhibit before, and that’s perfectly fine!

We will take a few steps back in Foxy’s training regimen, adding the leash pressure and using that simultaneously with the E collar in order to get Foxy back in great shape!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/17/2025

Foxy spent a lot of time today practicing back on the leash. We will need to reestablish some behaviors and boundaries over the next few days, but Foxy is up to the challenge and she will emerge quicker than we believe even better than before!

This picture was snapped at the end of one of our sessions today. You can see all the attitude in this little girl‘s face!

Over the next few days, we will continue to take foxy to outside locations so that she can practice her training regiment and do so in front of lots of people.

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/18/2025

Well, it took some effort but it’s now safe to say that Foxy has found her way back into the training groove.

We have kept sessions short and sweet, making sure to reward all the right behaviors.

As you can see from the video, Foxy is once again, completely off leash and following commands to the letter just as before.

During the last snippet of the video, you will see me call foxy to heal from about 50 yards away. Honestly, we could probably do it from 100 ;-)

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/19/2025

Our pretty little model had an amazing time showing off her skills at a busy shopping center. We spent about an hour and a half out and about, expecting Foxy’s energy to slow down, but she kept getting so much attention from all of the people around that she didn’t even begin to appear tired.

She is 100% back in step with her Offleash training.

Right before we left the mall, we decided to take a photo in front of the Christmas tree. As you can see, at this little moment poor foxy has decided that she’s had enough!

Foxy’s food arrived today from Amazon.

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/20/2025

To say we are proud of this pup would be the understatement of the year.

When Foxy is doing her thing, it’s hard for us to make it 10 feet down the sidewalk before someone is stopping us and complementing her beauty as well as her behavior.

It didn’t take long to get her back and step with all of her training, now we are focusing on some more advanced obedience behaviors, such as down in motion and a long call to heel.

We have some more time with this little girl, so we will keep pushing!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdates 11/21/2025

We couldn’t resist having some extra fun with Foxy today. Being part Husky, Foxy has a VERY vocal side to her personality. It’s nice to bring that out every now and again.

We are so happy to know that Foxy enjoys her time with us.

Regarding obedience, Foxy can follow commands better than many Law Enforcement dogs we know! She’s simply amazing.

Several more food items, including toppers and treats, arrived today.

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/22/2025

We really put Foxy through her paces today!

Rain is approaching so we took advantage of the sunlight to get out and about and work work work!

Foxy didn’t disappoint! She rose to every challenge while making the performance seem effortless.

You can see the calm in her eyes through these pictures. They were taken at the end of the day, right before we took her back home to feed her dinner and let her rest.

This gorgeous rescue continues to impress.

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/23/2025

Foxy awoke this morning singing the songs of her people. Her message was clear: Get me outside in the sun, NOW!

We obliged.

The beauty of having a fully trained dog is that it’s very easy to make things fun. When we are first teaching we are forced to do the work and trust the process.

Because of how smart this little gal is, every session is a blast!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/24/2025

If you didn’t know any better, you might think the howling and growling emanating from Foxy is aggression; but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

She’s just communicating in the way she knows how!

When we first met Foxy, we were told she had been labeled “Aggressive” by the rescue she came from. I’m here to tell you, this dog is NOT aggressive in any way!

Foxy is perfectly happy accepting cuddles while watching television. Turns out, she loves Sons of Anarchy;)

Another day, another romp in the mud!

One good thing the constant rain has produced is a surplus of muddy ground that Foxy loves to splash around in.

She chases her ball with reckless abandon, only slowing down to sniff at random spots before jetting back into the mud.

We are continuing to sharpen Foxy’s training so she returns home in razor shape.

Foxy girl is still as pretty and happy as ever!

We did a good deal of exploring the suburbs today; spending time taking in the sun and the changing colors of the leaves.

True to her form, she behaved as a model citizen. 

We are incorporating her training regimen within our walks and travels so as to keep her skills sharp!

Happy Thanksgiving!

In between the turkey, cranberry sauce, and apple pie, we took advantage of the beautiful weather to make sure that Foxy had plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.

As always, everyone is so impressed with her demeanor, training, and manners. Foxy can’t go 10 steps without being bombarded with attention!

We will make sure that fFoxy’s dinner is extra special, given the holiday!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/29/2025

As always, Foxy is the center of attention everywhere we go.

We enjoyed strolls through shopping centers and malls, taking in all of the post-black Friday activity.

Sharp as ever, Foxy navigated these busy places without issue.

We have been feeding Foxy a variety of her toppers; switching them from one meal to the next. She’s been enjoying the food!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 11/30/2025

We took a few moments out of our busy training schedule to snap some rustic photos of Miss Foxy waiting eagerly for her dinner in front of the fireplace (not to worry, it wasn’t on;)).

These moments perfectly capture the essence of Foxy; split between excitement, and a loving gaze.

She’s doing very well!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 12/1/2025

When consider considering a dog as well trained as Foxy, if working with one handler for a long period of time, it is possible that the dog will begin to only key off of that particular handler’s voice and commands.

Of course, when it comes to pet dogs, such as Foxy, this is not ideal. We do not want her to only respond to her Trainer, we also want her to respond to her Owner.

Today, we were fortunate enough to have a veteran trainer help out with handling.

At first, Foxy was not sure exactly what to do and kept looking to me for direction. But after only a few moments, she was following commands from the second handler with precision and excitement.

These are the little lessons that Foxy is picking up each day.

We snapped a few Photos as Foxy was enjoying her dinner this evening. You can in see her face, she’s put in all the work today and is ready to relax, maybe even watch a movie!

Overall, Foxy is doing well, she’s having a great time, eating well, and staying in good health.

We are keeping her busy with lots of play, training, and enrichment.

This little boarder is as happy as ever!

Foxy loves Bully-Sticks!

We are certainly guilty of spoiling this little girl pretty regularly; but we feel she deserves it;)

This cushion is her favorite place to be when she’s not jumping into our arms.

We are continuing to keep her training up!

Foxy | Husky Mix | Pupdate 12/4/2025

Foxy is being her usual happy self! In between playtime, cuddles, food, and more play, we work in some rapid fire training to keep her sharp!

Please note that, even though we are near a road, it is a dead end cul-de-sac with absolutely no traffic throughout the day; we would not risk working with or playing with Foxy near a busy, or even slightly busy street.

Foxy’s appetite is stellar as always, she loves her canned food and toppers.

We decided to spend some time playing dress up today! Foxy was more than willing to be a gorgeous little model.

Every day is a new adventure with this girl!

She’s getting plenty of work, but she’s also having plenty of downtime and play.

The days are going by so fast, we will be missing her before we know it; so we enjoy her as much as we can while it lasts!

We finally had a sunny day in Rancho Cucamonga, and we took advantage of it to the fullest!

Most of foxy’s day spent lounging and playing, but we do get out and about to ensure that her training and mine stay sharp.

As usual, foxy is the star of the show. She’s doing very well with us. Her appetite is stellar and she is staying hydrated.

She’s gonna be with us for a while, and we are very grateful for that! She has certainly become a full member of our pack.

We caught a very nice moment with Foxy a little while after her bath today.

Mind you, her bath came at the end of her training and after a full meal so this was the perfect moment for her to unwind and relax.

Training is routine, she’s happy to work and happy to play.

It’s always an adventure when Foxy is around!

Back into the sun!

We make sure that Foxy is out of the house at least twice per day and spending time with us inside the house for the rest of the day. This girl has no alone time because of the constant cuddles!
