Everest is OffLeashSoCal’s newest 2 week Board and Training Cadet. Everest is too intelligent for her own good, she has a high ball drive, and loves to jump and be caught in midair. She is going to learn when it’s time to have fun she can be a puppy and be loved, but when it’s time to go to work she has to flip the switch and stay tuned. Check back for her daily progress.

Everest is starting to break out of her shell and show her true colors. She loves to help out and be involved in whatever you are doing. I’m glad we are really bonding.

Everest and I went to the park to get some training in today. We worked on her balance, and her duration of holding each command.

Today Everest learned how to place. Place is a command where the dog must hold either a sit or down, on a surface with a defined border. Because I know how great of a jumper Everest can be, I decided to have her place on top of the trashcan. She’s learning Coordination and balance.

Today Everest and I went to the Home Depot, so we can get some materials to finish our fence. No job is too big for these paw patrol’s that are helping out. Now that Everest is one full week in her training, she has earned my trust to play with other pups.

Everest got some great exposure to more distractions today at Lowe’s. She loves going out with me everywhere I go. Car rides are her favorite, if she could sit shotgun, she totally would. She can heel next to me while I push a cart full of lumber.

Because Everest has been putting in so much work, I decided that today we would have a puppy play date. We want to have just as much fun as we do work. Everest a natural leader and shows the other dogs how jump into new commands.
