Eunice, a Golden Retriever from Irvine, CA. went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Two Week Board & Train dog training program. Eunice was trained by dog trainer Mike Dark in La Habra Heights, CA.

Eunice is a 9 month old Golden Retriever from Irvine, CA. Eunice will be joining us for our World Famous Two Week Board and Train program. Eunice does know some basic commands, but lacks the ability to hold any of those commands. Additionally, she pulls on the leash and will pick-up food items that she finds while out walking. Eunice is trained to use a pee-pad, but while she is with us we will be also working on her ability to go potty entirely outdoors, on command. First picture is from the morning session. Working with other trainers and other dogs as distractions, Eunice did a great job. Second picture is from evening walk. Eunice is displaying the "place" command. She is picking up the training very quickly.

Apologies for the lighting quality in the video. It was so hot last night I waited till it cooled down before doing the work, which was at about 8:30PM. The location is downtown Brea and we simply walked on a loose leash heel. Eunice did very well for her first time out with mild distractions.

You can see the time and temperature from inside my car. Crazy hot and generally unsafe to be working in yesterday, which is why the evening video.

The last two pictures were from the AM walk. This is a field in our neighborhood that has rabbits, squirrels, morning doves, and pigeons. The dogs get an opportunity to get off leash and chase the wildlife. Total walk was 3.2 miles

You can see with the daily update she only consumed half of the morning food, but did eat all the food at night (weight includes bowl). Eunice's body weight has remained consistent throughout the training.
