Ember, a German Shepherd Mix from Lakewood, CA went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Two Week Board & Train dog training program. Ember was trained by dog trainer Chris Louie in Norwalk, CA.

I’d like to welcome Ember, the 7 month old German Shepard mix to OffLeash SoCal’s pack. She will be here for our two week board and train, to work on her leash pulling, her greeting manners, and to teach her basic obedience. Ember loves to be apart of the family, but doesn’t quite know her place. When her parents like to play darts, she likes to jump and snatch the darts out of mid air. I’m excited to work with this beautiful young pup.

Day 2 is training and this shining star is already holding her sit. Because she has been doing so well with her commands, I decided to take her for a walk around the block and learn the heel command.

Ember got some great training done today at the park. We worked with Senna and got lots of dog distractions. Today we worked heel place and down.

Ember got a bath today, and she loved it. As you can see, she doesn’t mind the water and can sit through it.

Ember enjoyed a nice and relaxing day today. We got to have a puppy play time, and hangout in the shade. It is important for dogs to socialize, it teaches them dogs are friendly and not a threat.

Ember is loving her training and really taking it all in. We have been working on her positioning when she comes and sits. She loves to sit on top of my feet, so we spent today working on it. As you can see she loves to sit pretty, and has a fun loving personality.

Ember got to hang out with a bunch of new pups today, as the OffLeash SoCal pack got together to train. She did really well holding her sit while taking Her graduation photos.
