Daisy, a six month old French Bulldog, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our ozone Week Board and Train program. Daisy comes to us with little knowledge of commands, being easily distracted out in public, not walking properly on leash, lacking a solid recall, and jumping to greet. Over the week Daisy will be working on her on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Daisy is settling in well at my home. She got to meet some of my pack. She wasn’t too interested in playing, but she was fine socializing with them. She was more interested in exploring her new surroundings. I’m sure she will want to play once she gets adjusted to my home.

Today Daisy and I went to the park to work on her obedience. I introduced and conditioned her to the ecollar. We practiced commands Sit and Place. Daisy did very well and caught on to her new command quickly. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs so she could practice around other dog distractions. At home she got to meet the rest of my pack. She spent the rest of the day socializing and playing with her new friends.

Today Daisy and I trained at home. We practice more of her sit and place commands. We also working on a new command, heel. Daisy put up a bit of a fight in the beginning, but after some repetition, she finally settled down and started following me. It is still a work in progress, but she is walking much better. Daisy is staying at my side and focusing on where I am moving.

Today Daisy and I went to an outdoor mall to work on commands. We met with Tanner and Darla so the sisters could train together. Daisy did a great job with her heel, walking at my side and focusing on me. At home we practiced the down command. This command is a bit hard for Daisy. She is not really understanding what I am asking of her, but we will continue to practice.

Today Daisy and I met up with her sister at the beach to work on their obedience commands together. Daisy was a little stubborn in the beginning, but as we walked around and trained she was able to settle down and listen. She finally got the hang of the down command. It might just be her new favorite command.

Today Daisy and I stayed home to train. We practiced all her commands and worked on her distance and duration. We practiced her food and door manners, teaching Daisy to wait patiently for her food and to not pass thresholds until given permission. She spent the ready of the day playing and socializing with her friends before she goes home tomorrow. Daisy can’t wait to go home and show you everything she has learned!
