Bruno, a two year old Belgian Malinois, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Two Week Board and Train program. Bruno comes to us knowing his commands but not always following them if distracted, not walking properly on leash, jumping to greet, and chewing things he's not suppose to. Over the two weeks Bruno will be working on his off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!
Pupdate 11/20/2022
Bruno is getting settled in at my home. When we first arrived at the house, he wasn't very trusting of me and didn't want to come out of the kennel. It took him awhile to let me put the leash on his collar and pet him, but he eventually warmed up to me and hopped out of the car.

Today Bruno and I went to the park to work on his obedience. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so bruno had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. He did well with the other dogs. He was definitely interested in them, but he wasnāt reactive towards them and still obeyed all his commands. If they came too close, his hair on his back would rise and his tail would tense, so we kept our distance. I had a few other trainers work with Bruno. I wanted to see how he would respond to strangers. He was a little hesitant with them in the beginning, but still followed and obeyed their commands. Bruno did a great job on his first day!

Today Bruno and I went to the park to work on his commands. We practiced Sit, Down, Come, Heel, and Place. We worked on his duration and distance. He did very well following all his commands. We need a little more work on his heel. Bruno likes to try and walk ahead of me and wants stick his nose to the ground to sniff.

Today Bruno and I went to Lowes to work on his obedience around distractions. He did very well. He was a little distracted when we first got there, but still followed through with all his commands. Bruno received a few compliments on how well behaved he is.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today Bruno and I went to the park to work on his commands. He did very well. He was focused and obedient. We met with other offleash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Bruno had had plenty of dog distractions to work around.

Today Bruno and I went to The Citadel Outlets to work on his commands around distractions. He was a bit nervous with all the commotion going on around us, but still followed all his commands. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Bruno was able to work around dog distractions. He did a great job today!

Today Bruno and I went to the park to work on his commands. We practiced his commands semi-off leash. I let him drag the leash around while we trained. He did a very good job. Bruno was focused and obedient.

Today Bruno and I went to a local dog park to work on his obedience around a lot of dog distractions. He was a bit distracted with all the dogs running around and barking. I wasnāt able to let him work semi-off leash because of how distracted he was and he growled at a few dogs and people walking by us. Bruno was obedient and followed all his commands, but all the excitement and noise from the other dogs made him tense. I noticed Bruno had an upset tummy today. He had soft stool and was eating grass. I gave him white rice and chicken broth to help soak up whatever is upsetting his stomach. I will keep an eye on it and see how he is feeling tomorrow

Today Bruno and I went to the park to work on his obedience. We met with all the OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Bruno had plenty of dog distractions to practice around. He did a great job staying focused around the other dogs. I was even able to drop the leash as we walked passed them. Bruno ignored the other dogs and followed all my commands.

Today Bruno and I went to the Citadel Outlets to work on his obedience around distractions. Bruno did such an awesome job! He worked completely off leash today! Bruno was very focused and obedient. He had a few admirers stop to watch him work. They complimented him on how well behaved he is off leash.

Today Bruno and I went to the Block at Orange to work on his off leash obedience around distractions. He did a great job! He was focused and obedient.

Today Bruno and I went to The Brea Mall to work on his off leash obedience around distractions. Once again, he did a great job around all the distractions. He followed all his commands. Bruno received a few compliments on how well behaved he is off leash.

Today Bruno and I worked on his obedience at home. We practiced all his commands. We worked on his duration and distance. We also practiced his food manners, door manners, and load up.

Today Bruno took the day off from training and we spent the day hanging out and playing fetch. Bruno has done a great job with his training! He can't wait to go home and show you every he has learned!
