Brizzy | Mini Goldendoodle | Huntington Beach, CA | In Training
Brizzy is a 7 month old Mini Goldendoodle from Huntington Beach, CA! He is joining us for our One Week Board and Train Program. Brizzy pulls heavily on leash, needs to learn basic manners and gets loves to jump up on people. Overall, he is a sweet and loving boy who is ready to learn! Check out his 7 day transformation!
Brizzy and I spent the day getting to know each other. He was really timid when we first had our first lesson but was able to warm up after a couple of minutes. I introduced the e-collar to him today and he did a great job getting to know the sensation of it. We introduced ‘come to sit’ as well as his ‘heel’. He still pulls a lot while out for a walk but is doing a lot better than before. We ended our day by working on ‘down’. He does get upset when working on ‘down’ and bites my hands or the leash. Overall, he is being a good boy and ate half of his dinner.
Brizzy and I worked at my home where we were able to work on his ‘come to sit’ and his ‘heel’. He is still struggling with his ‘down’ and even nipped at my ankles a couple of times while trying to help him go in the down position. It wasn’t a small nip it was a hard bite. He even tore two small holes in my shoes because he was biting so hard. He does get really overwhelmed when I try to ask him to do things and will refuse to listen at times. He responds well to the e-collar when we work in my home and does all of his commands really well. The moment we go outside of my home such as a park or even just my sidewalk he throws a tantrum. No matter what level stim I am on he will vocalize and bite at his leash. He will also try and run to any person or just run in general so he can do what he pleases. He doesn’t like to follow any of the commands especially if he knows other people will be there that will not make him do it. He did go potty on my shoes today after I let him out of his kennel. It wasn’t a lot but he did make the extra effort to pee on them. He is giving me constant whale eye in and out of the kennel. He is a good boy but really struggles when around other people. He took multiple rests throughout the day and drank plenty of water. He ate half of his breakfast and dinner.
Brizzy went to Venice Beach to work on all of his commands around distractions. He did a really good job ‘heeling’ next to bigger crowds but would scurry in front of me when something caught his attention. He is getting better and going in a ‘down’ but struggled to do it when there were a lot of people around. He is getting a lot better at his ‘come to sit’ and needs only a bit of leash guidance. He also worked on ‘place’ today. There were a couple of times when he would jump up on the bench but other times where he was too timid to jump. Overall, Brizzy is doing a great job! He ate half of his breakfast and dinner.
Brizzy worked on his ‘heel’ and his ‘come to sit’ today. He would have a hard time walking around my neighborhood and would refuse to keep walking. Today he did amazing! He was able to ‘down’ and ‘heel’ with me! We also worked on ‘place’ but he’s still having a bit of trouble jumping up on things. We worked on his durations and he was able to hold his ‘down’ for about 45 seconds before he got up. We’re working on building his ‘down’ and ‘sit’ some more around distractions. He did a great job overall and didn’t bark at kinds running around looking for Easter eggs. He is a good boy! He ate all of his breakfast and dinner.
Brizzy went to Wilderness Park to work on all of his commands. We worked on his ‘heel’ and his ‘place’ today. He is getting a lot better at jumping up on things and has gained a lot more confidence. Brizzy also worked on his ‘come to sit’ and he did amazing! Brizzy has improved so much and is doing so well around distractions. We’re still working on his extended ‘sit’ and ‘down’ since he can’t hold them for very long before getting up. He ate all of his breakfast and dinner.
Brizzy and I went to a local park to work on all of his commands. He was a little overwhelmed with all of the dogs that passed up but recovered quickly. It did take him a bit to calm down. He did a great job holding his ‘sit’ and his ‘down’ for longer than a minute. He does still try to get up but is doing a lot better at holding his commands. His ‘place’ has improved a lot and he doesn’t mind jumping up on things once he gets the hang of it. He is being a good boy! He ate all of his breakfast and dinner.
Brizzy went to Lowes to work on his durations around distractions. He is getting a lot better with his ‘heel’ and isn’t trying to pull me anymore. We also worked on his ‘place’ and he has gained a lot more confidence. He did get a bit spooked by some loud motorcycles but recovered quickly! Overall, he is being a good boy and is doing a great job.
Brizzy went to Citadel Outlets to work on all of his commands around distractions. He did a great job with his ‘heel’ but did get a bit nervous when we passed by strollers. He wasn’t as interested in people and dogs today and held his ‘sit’ and his ‘down’ really well! Brizzy is doing a lot better with his ‘place’ but did struggle holding his ‘sit’ after a couple of times. Overall, Brizzy did such a good job today! He ate all of his breakfast and dinner and went potty like normal!
