Blue, a Pit Bull from Bakersfield, CA went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Three Week Board & Train Program. Blue was trained by dog trainer Jesse Medina in Acton, CA.
This guy is almost 5 years old although he is a loving therapy dog with his owner, his aggression causes problems on walks. Animals and people trigger blue and cause him to pull a lot. Blue has even gotten to the point where he has gotten out of his harness in attempt to get to someone or something because of pulling so much and forcing himself to back out of it.
Blue has been improving so much. As you can see in these pictures his eyes aren't so dilated, he is less tense and his mouth isn't closed shut, he is a lot more relaxed overall.
We noticed blue licking the back of his legs a lot and his elbows look pretty swollen. His skin looks very irritated and aren't sure if this is normal for him since he did have a small irritated area when we picked him up. The reason we noticed they're getting worse is because we saw a little bit of blood rubbed on the floor.
Blue is making major improvements! He is really coming out of his shell and building a lot more confidence and becoming comfortable, YAY BLUE !
Aileen is teaching blue the down command
Staring to build trust and working on off leash commands
His focus is amazing 👏
We are so proud of blue. Not only has he learned to properly greet other dogs of all excitement levels but he has also learned to be more comfortable in allowing himself to get greeted.
Blue is really starting to impress us more and more everyday with how much calmer he is around human and animal distractions!
Blue meets a new skittish dog and greets him properly. Good job blue.
Working the place command around distractions at the park. During our afternoon training he did well around the skateboarders.
