Hello everyone and welcome to Bleu’s Blog!

This gorgeous little bundle of muscle and fur comes to us for our Three Week Puppy Board and Train program.

His owners are concerned about his constant accidents in the house, chewing, running out of the door, and overall choosing when he will and will not listen.

Over the next three weeks, we will establish good obedience behaviors from the ground up with this puppy, and we will get him well on his way to becoming the best dog he can be!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/17/2025

Bleu sped through his first day of training almost like a seasoned pro. It was all tail-wags and smiles as we trotted down the aisles of Home Depot.

This little pup showed no hesitation or fear when encountering large objects or loud noises.

We are starting his training from the ground up so today we focused on teaching Bleu how to relieve leash pressure when we apply it. 

You can see in the video, the handler is pulling on Bleu’s leash and waiting for him to take a couple of steps towards the handler; once he does so, the pressure comes off completely and he gets a big reward.

This method is crucial to building all the Bleu’s behaviors over the next three weeks.

We couldn’t be happier to have this adorable little fluff ball working with us.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/18/2025

As you can see, Bleu is living his best life surrounded by palm trees and pretty purple flowers.

This little guy has been working extra hard to learn how we properly walk on a leash.

His confidence can make him a bit over-adventurous at times so we pay close attention to his movements insuring safety at all times.

Bleu is already falling into the training routine very naturally and we couldn’t be more proud!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/19/2025

Bleu is slowly beginning to learn exactly how a proper pup is expected to walk on a leash. You will see in the video, we are using positivity and directional pressure to show him what the behavior looks like.

Many of our manners and behaviors are based off of a sit command, that’s why we start teaching it so soon. This pup already had experience with the command, however, he would pick and choose when to follow it. Building a true base of obedience means the pup follows the handler’s direction regardless of whether or not he feels like doing so.

Blue’s potty training is going very well, he has not had a single accident inside. We are utilizing the crate method, not to worry, he is spending more time out of it than in.

 Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/20/2025

Today’s training was a whirlwind for Bleu! We spent a lot of time in very busy areas in order to improve this little guy’s confidence.

He’s getting very comfortable following on the leash, his sits and extended sits are fantastic, and he is slowly learning the Down, Place, and Come to sit.

We will continue to help Bleu along his way to becoming the best pup possible!

We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take some photos at Bass Pro shop. You can see, he’s a little, unsure about the Bears sitting behind him!

Bleu’s potty training is going very well also!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/21/2025

Look at this little guy go! He’s basically a pro with the Heel command now! It’s safe to say that Bleu is at the top of his class.

We focused on medium to high level distraction work indoors today. The idea is to have Bleu to a point where his owners are able to take him out and about and impressing everyone when they do!

Bleu is well on his way to attaining that standard.

We will continue to push this little bundle of energy and mold him into the best version of himself.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/22/2025

Socialization was the name of the game today! Heeling Bleu on his leash in a busy retail store keeps his mind engaged and lessens the stress of other similar environments.

Bleu has not demonstrated any real stress when shown new things; that being said, he is still very young so we focus on controlled desensitization rather than forcing him into experiences that may be a bit too much at this time.

Over the next two weeks, we will continue shaping little boy Bleu’s skills so he’s tip top when he goes back home.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/23/2025

Bleu is now very comfortable following the heel position while on leash. That being said, he’s still a bit hesitant on new or unfamiliar substrate, as you can see in this video, very think grass still throws him for a loop. That’s ok! It’s all a part of the process.

We have also been working Place and Down. He isn’t crazy about the down position but he’s already picking it up fast.

Blue has not had a single accident in the house in days. His potty training is coming along well.

Bleu’s personality has really started to come out! The little muscle-man displays his confidence everywhere we go!

He is doing very well with his commands and we have not experienced any accidents inside of the house recently.

Potty training is very important to Bleu’s owners, so we have been using the crate method with great success.

We are heading into week two of Bleu’s journey and it’s safe to say this little guy is right on track!

He has been a bit uncomfortable with the Down so we spent time practicing it today during our sessions.

Bleu’s potty training is still going well.

Over the next few days we will continue to solidify Bleu’s obedience and engagement while keeping everything fun.

Little Bleu was the center of attention while we were out training today.

This heartbreaker couldn’t make it ten feet without a person commenting on his looks and behavior.

We even had the chance to practice our greeting manners a few times!

Happy Thanksgiving!

In between the turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, we made sure to get this pup out and about today so that he can enjoy the sunshine all while practicing his obedience commands.

Bleu is moving through his obedience, routine with skill and precision. We couldn’t be happier!

We will make sure that Bleu’s dinner is extra special, given the holiday.

His potty training is stellar!

We are coming to the end of Bleu’s second week with us. His progression is nothing short of outstanding!

Still practicing the down, Bleu offered every behavior we asked for.

During one of our sessions today, we focused on building an extended down, which Bleu is still learning.

All in all, he’s doing a fantastic job.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 11/29/2025

Bleu is as Bleu does!

In those moments wherein Bleu stares deep into your eyes and just begs for love, it becomes almost impossible to push through a session; but, it’s what we’ve got to do!

A large part of teaching obedience is demonstrating control in the sense that the handler will decide when the session ends, not the dog. 

That’s why, when Bleu looks up at us with those sad green twinklers, we recognize the behavior, push for a few more good reps, and end on the best note possible.

We took a moment out of our busy training schedule to snap some photos of Bleu doing what Bleu does best: Staring deep into your soul, capturing your heart!

Believe it or not, this little guy loved playing dress up!

He even modeled some fashionable devils-horns(which really capture his personality) for the camera!

Bleu’s training is moving along swimmingly!

We couldn’t be happier with his progress.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 12/1/2025

Little boy, Bleu!

Today, we got out and about and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We even had a chance to do some training at Bass Pro Shops!

Of course, Bleu was the center of attention and all the folks wanted to meet and pet him.

This presented the perfect opportunity for us to practice our greeting manners, which you see here in the video. 

Notice how much better Bleu is at holding the sit position while strangers approach him than he was even a few days ago.

This is just one piece of the progress that Bleu has made over the last couple of weeks and we will continue to strengthen his awareness and ability over the following days!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate  12/2/2025

Today, we worked on all of Bleu’s, commands and positions, as well as teaching the little guy how to jump!

Jumping into position is very important for commands such as Place. Because Bleu is just a little puppy, he’s not super familiar with this type of behavior.

We begin by making it very easy for him, just having him walk over the line as it lays on the ground. Slowly, we raise the line off of the ground, and we encourage him to continue to walk over it and step over it until he can eventually jump over it, as you see in this video!

We are gearing up to film Bleu’s final video this week and making sure he is in tiptop shape when he returns to his owners this weekend.

Bleu is starting to turn into a little grasshopper!

See how he hops up onto place? His back legs are powerful!

Initially, Bleu hated being near the water, but soon became comfortable once he realized there was nothing to fear.

His appetite is very steady! He devours his food!

Bleu is also drinking plenty of water as we work.

Potty training is great, there haven’t been any accidents inside the house.

Stay tuned as we prepare Bleu to return to his owners!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 12/4/2025

We are nearing Bleu’s return home! 

We created a compilation video today showing some of Bleu’s training during his stay with us. 

Tomorrow, we will film his final video; showcasing all of his commands and obedience.

It took some time, but we were finally able to train Bleu to potty on command!

We will absolutely miss having this little bundle of love around!

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 12/5/2025

Look at our little handsome model!

You can see in this picture, although the leash is completely loose without any pressure steering the puppy or forcing him to hold the command, Bleu is still behaving like a rockstar.

We filmed Bleu’s final video today, which showcases all of his commands and what he has learned during his time with us.

Tomorrow is his last day, and we will use the time to give him all of the love and affection that we can.

Bleu | Bully | Pupdate 12/6/2025

It’s this puppy‘s last day in training! While we could not be more proud of his progress, we will certainly miss his little personality around the house.

Bleu has become a part of the family over the past three weeks and we know that he will make his owners proud.

Today, we worked through all the Bleu’s commands and positions in a rapid fire manner. We also spent about three hours, just playing with him and enjoying his time.

Tomorrow, Bleu will go back to his owners and continue his training journey from there.

Great job Bleu!
