Meet Akela! A 10 month old Husky from Long Beach California! He is here because he doesn’t come when called, jumps a lot, and needs to learn basic obedience. Akela is very friendly, smart, and super cute! Akela is here for our 2 Week Board and Train Program! Stay tuned for Akela’s 14 day transformation!

Today Akela and I worked at home! Today I just introduced Akela’s recall. Akela is still learning this command but he is understanding what is being asked. I also played with Akela so he can be comfortable with me! Akela has been such a good boy and he is adjusting well to his temporary home. I am so excited to train Akela!

Today Akela and I went to the park! Akela and I worked on his heel and recall today. Akela was trying to smell the ground when walking so I was making sure to tell him “off” which is the universal no. I was making sure to let Akela know what his job was and that was to heel. I trained Akela with a slip lead today and it made a significant difference in his heeling. Akela is still learning these commands but he is definitely catching on! Akela has been such a good boy!

Today Akela and I went to Lowes. Akela and I worked on his recall, heel, and place today. When we went to Lowes I noticed Akela gets very distracted out in public but when we are home he works better. I will continue to take Akela out so he doesn’t get distracted and listen to commands when being asked! Akela has been such a good pup and he is improving each day we train.

Today Akela and I went to the Valencia mall. Akela and I worked on all of his commands today. Also we introduced down to Akela today. Akela does get very distracted when he sees people so we will continue to work on that with Akela. Akela did try to go up to some people while training but I am correcting him and letting him know his job is to be in a command and not say hi to people all the time. Akela has been such a good pup and he is improving each day we train!

Today Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his heel and extended down! Akela still does get distracted out in public but we will continue to work him through it. Akela did such a good job today. He is being such a good pup and improving each day we train! After a long day of training Akela has so much fun running in the backyard!

Today Akela and I went to Hollywood Walk of Fame! Akela and I worked on all of his commands today but we did focus on his heel and down. Akela also got to work around other pups today. He also got to train with another trainer and Akela did great. He still does get distracted at times but once you correct Akela and let him know what his job is he does good. Akela has been such a good pup and he is improving each day we train!

Today Akela and I went to Santa Monica Pier! Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his heel and extended down. Akela got to work with other pups today and he is getting better each day working with distractions. Akela has been such a good pup and he is improving each day we train!

Today Akela and I worked on all of his commands. We did focus on his offleash heel and his extended down. We also worked on his food manners and Akela did such a good job. Akela has been such a good boy and listening to commands when being asked.

Today Akela and I went to Santa Monica Pier! Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his extended down and place! Akela did such a good job. I also dropped the leash in the video and Akela did good. At times I did pick up the leash to help Akela with commands if he needed it but for the most part he did great! Akela has been such a good boy and he is improving each day we train!

Today Akela and I went to Bouquet Canyon Park. Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his recall. Akela did such a good job off leash. We also focused on his door manners and food manners today. Akela has been such a good pup!

Today Akela and I went to the Valencia mall. Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his extended down and recall. Akela did such a good job today. We will continue to work on all of Akela’s commands to improve them each day! We also worked on his door manners today.

Today Akela and I went to Hobby Lobby! Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his heel and recall. We also worked on Akela’s greeting manners and he did great. Akela has been such a good boy and he is improving each day we train! We have also been working Akela off leash and he has been listening to commands and being a good pup!

Today Akela and I went to Glendale Galleria. Akela and I worked on all of his commands but we did focus on his recall and his place. When I asked Akela to go on place he was a little stubborn at first but when I helped Akela with the leash he was able to complete the command. Akela has been such a good pup and he is improving each day we train.

Today Akela and I went to Hollywood Walk of Fame. Akela and I worked on all of his commands today. We also worked on his greeting manners and Akela did great. Akela is so excited to go home and show his family what he learned over the last two weeks.
