Jazz, an 11 month old Miniature Goldendoodle, joined OffLeash SoCal for our one week board and train program. Jazz is a sweet and loving girl. Jazz’s owners are having trouble with her lack of following commands, pulling on the leash, not coming when called, and jumping. Over the next week Jazz will be working on her on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Today I introduced and conditioned Jazz to the ecollar. We went to the park and worked on commands sit and place. Place is a command where Jazz must sit or lay on a defined object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching her to be relaxed and calm. Jazz loves hanging out with all her new friends.

Today Jazz and I went back to the park to work on some new commands. We started practicing the heel and down commands. Heel is still a work in progress but Jazz is walking a lot better now, not trying to pull or weave in front of me. She is doing a great job with her training, such a fast learner!

Today Jazz and I went to the park again to work on her all her commands and added a new command, come to sit. We started working on her duration, holding her commands longer. Another Offleash SoCal trainers joined us today, so Jazz got to work around dog distractions. She did a great job! She ignored the other dogs and followed all her obedience commands. Now that she has all her commands down, Jazz and I will be going out in public around higher distractions to work on her commands.

Today Jazz and I went to Lowe's to work on her commands around distractions. She was nervous and a bit distracted when we first got there. Once we walked around and worked on her commands she relaxed and became more focused on me and following her obedience commands.
