Meet Honey, a goofy, playful, loving 2 year old Australian Shepherd from Sun Valley, CA! She will be joining us for our One Week Board and Train Program. Honey loves to pull her owners during walks and wants to smell everything! Honey sometimes gets too excited when watching kids play and will try and join in by using her mouth. Honey will be focusing on basic obedience, leash manners, and being more gentle when playing! Stay tuned for her one week transformation!!

Today Honey and I spent most of the day taking walks around the neighborhood to help her get acclimated to me! She did very well and was super interested in smelling everything in sight! Later on we went to a quiet park and relaxed on the grass and I let her explore the playground and she loved it! She only ate about half of her dinner which is not surprising due to her being used to free-feeding.

Today Honey and I started our morning with a structured walk to work on her heel. She did pull quite a bit on her flat collar. To prevent the pulling, I decided to put a small prong collar on her to teach her that pulling is not allowed. Once I did that, Honey quickly figured out that pulling isn’t ok. After our morning walk, Honey and I took a few hours of relaxing at home before heading to the park. After an hour, Honey and I went to the park and I introduced Place and Come! She did have a couple tantrums while working on come but after a few times doing it she picked it up! Honey is a very sweet girl and we ended the session with belly rubs!

Today Honey and I started the morning with a walk around the neighborhood! We worked on Heel, Come, Sit, and Place! She sometimes will shake her head when she slightly feels the e-collar tickling her skin but is doing great with it and responding well! Later on we went to a mall and worked on Heel, Come, Sit, Place and even started introducing Down! While learning Down, Honey sometimes had a tantrum when asked to perform that command, but after a few minutes of repeating it Honey got the hang quickly!

Today Honey and I started our morning with a structured walk and training session! We focused on Heel, Down, Come, and Sit! She did pretty well with her commands but sometimes shakes her head in response to feeling the e-collar, even at a very low number. Later we decided to work on door manners because Honey loves to exit the house first, which is not polite! During this session I had Honey sit before opening the door. She gets up a couple times and I always put her back into her command before letting her through! This was very hard for Honey to do because she had to control her impulses! After a bit of practice, she was able to sit there as I walk through!

Today we started our morning with a walk where we worked on Heel, Place, Down, and Come! She does pretty well but is still shaking her head quite a bit, even at a very low level. Later on in the day we went to a mall and worked on Heel, Down, Come, Place. She was pretty distracted with everything going on so she needed some reminders for her commands, but over-all she did well!

Honey and I started our morning with a walk around the neighborhood and worked on Heel, Down, and Come! She has gotten better with each command and loves to work! Later on we went to Santa Monica Pier and worked in a higher distracting location! She was a superstar and didn’t let the crowds distract her too much! After we worked for a couple hours, we went home and worked on Door manners again! Honey has come far with each passing day and is such a sweet pup!!

Honey and I started our morning with an early structured walk around the neighborhood and worked on Heel, Down, Come. She did well and is slowly getting used to the feeling of the ecollar. Later on we went to the Mall and worked on Heel, Down, Come, and Place. She wasn’t super stoked about there being a few screaming kids but performed fairly well! We also spent some time at home working of some food manners! She needed a few reminders to stay in a down before being released but did well!
