Alex Kruse
Dog Trainer
AKC Evaluator

K9 First Aid & CPR Certified

Since birth, Alex always had an affinity with animals — “A regular Disney princess!” her parents always joked. Her upbringing involved nurturing a diverse array of pets, encompassing dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, even crustaceans and insects! At the age of eight, she commenced equestrian activities and animal husbandry. By fourteen, she volunteered at a prominent state aquarium, subsequently serving as a volunteer zookeeper for several years and participating in programs such as the 4H VET Club, where she acquired fundamental veterinary care knowledge.

At nineteen, after exploring various animal-related career paths, Alex discovered the doggie daycare and boarding industry. She began as a kennel attendant and, over a twelve-year period, advanced to positions including facility manager, head trainer, Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, nutrition specialist, in-home petsitter, and occasional groomer.

Since relocating to Los Angeles, Alex has remained actively engaged in the canine industry. Her roles have included foster mother and home evaluator for the dog rescue organization Ace of Hearts, start-up consultant for local doggie daycares, receptionist at a renowned local daycare catering to celebrity clientele, and a regular dog walker and sitter for local clients.

Alex is proficient in providing a comprehensive range of training services, extending beyond standard obedience. She frequently works with highly reactive dogs and service dogs, and particularly relishes the challenge of addressing common behavioral issues in herding breeds. Furthermore, she is pet first-aid certified and is available to consult on nutritional concerns. Alex is dedicated to ensuring the safety, happiness, health, and well-being of all companion animals.
