Goldy, a 5 month old Golden Retrieve, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our puppy board and train program. Goldy is a sweet and playful girl who comes to us with typical puppy behavior: little knowledge of commands, pulling on the leash, easily distracted, play biting, etc. Over the next 3 weeks Goldy will be working on her obedience and manner. Today Goldy practiced the Place command. Place is a command where Goldy must sit or lay on an object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching Goldy to relax and be calm. Goldy did really well and caught on fast. Even with her friend, Kash, trying to distract her, Goldy still followed my commands. Great first day of training!

We didn't let the rain stop us from training and having fun! Today Goldy and I worked on her commands when the rain would stop. We started working on the Down command. She loved playing in the rain! She had a love-hate relationship with the blowdryer though. Goldy didn't care for the noise, but enjoyed the warm air drying her off.

Sorry for the delay with the post. I was having issues with app. Today Goldy and I practiced her commands at home. Goldy is doing a great job with her training. She is holding her commands longer.

Goldy joined some new friends, in Beverly Hills, to work on her obedience commands. She was a little distracted at first, being in a new and busy area, but did well once she became
more focused.

Today Goldy and her friend, Luna, joined me out for lunch. I took them with me to my family's restaurant where they worked on duration down. Goldy did pretty good, but got up once or twice. After we worked on her obedience commands around the neighborhood.

Sorry for the delay in posts again, having issues with uploading again. Today Goldy and I work on her obedience at home. We practiced door manners, teaching her boundaries and that she is not allowed to pass thresholds until given the okay. she is not allowed to just run out the door just because it is open.

Today Goldy and I spent the day out in Hollywood. We practiced her commands in high distractions. She did pretty good, followed my commands except for when we walked by someone playing the drums. Goldy did not like that at all. Other than that, she was great!

Today Goldy and I went to the park to work on commands. Goldy got a bath so she could be clean when she got home tomorrow, but it didn’t last long. She ran around with her friends and got all dirty again. Goldy has done a great job with her training. She cant wait to come home and show you everything she has learned!
